What would you do if you won a million dollars?
Firstly I would shout and scream and jump around like a lunatic!
Once I was done with that, I would give $50,000 to some well deserving local charities I support.
I would share $200,000 between family and friends – the ones who actually liked me before I won the money!
I would invest $250,000 dollars across several high interest accounts.
The last $500,000 I would buy a pub to renovate and run.
But that’s boring, and practical, and not very interesting reading, so I thought I would share with you what I would like to do rather than what I should do if I won a million dollars instead!
I would travel – I would visit every place I ever dreamed of going and a few more besides. I would visit beautiful beaches, cities, jungles, and everything in between.
I would do the predictable tourist stuff and I would also immerse myself in local culture and get a real feel for the places I visit. I would try the local cuisine, and drink their favourite drinks, browse their fashions and see how their lives differ from mine.
I would visit places where people live like royalty and places where people live in poverty. I would visit the Pyramids, the Louvre, the Trevvi Fountain, Times Square, Levante Beach, Monte Carlo, and the Ganges to name a few.
Some where along the way I would go on safari, bungee jump, parachute jump and do the Machu Picchu trail. I would ask people along the way for their recommendations and try some things that would take me way out of my comfort zone.
I would refuse to have a schedule or anything more than a basic list of places I wanted to cover. I might stay a month in some places, only a day in others, whatever took my fancy.
I don’t think of myself as particularly materialistic, but I love the freedom having money brings – being able to go where you want, when you want and do whatever takes your fancy.
Of course I would blog about all my adventures along the way and when the money ran out and I had to come back home, maybe some travel companies would like to send me off to other places to talk about them (unlikely I know but a girl can dream right!)
At some point I would probably find a place I loved so much I never wanted to leave. I would fall in love with a house I could never afford, dream about it for a day or two then shake myself off and continue on my merry way!

They have around the world cruises, too. Sounds like you need that million dollars right now.

I totally do lol, nothing wrong with dreaming 🙂

Traveling sounds like the PERFECT way to spend that money! You're a brave soul to go bungee jumping. You probably couldn't pay me a million to do it- lol!
I also appreciate your more practical answer. Sharing the wealth is what I would do as well. Thank you so much for answering my question! It's wonderful getting to know more about you! Xx
randommusings29@gmail.com
I would love to do it! I think if I had really had a million dollars, how I would spend it would end up somewhere in the middle of the 2 🙂 Thank you x
Haidee
Ooooohhh, what would I do? I would feel obliged to be responsible so I would put some towards a nicer (bigger) house, set some aside for savings, donate some and allow some for a mega family holiday and then a romantic husband and wife type holiday 🙂
randommusings29@gmail.com
Sounds good – we can dream can't we lol 🙂
Changing Times
Wow! The first thought that came to my mind is that if I win a million dollars, I would travel and see the world, just like you 🙂
randommusings29@gmail.com
It would be so amazing wouldn't it, just need the million dollars now lol 🙂

Travel – five star all the way.
Pay off the house and buy a few new ones (that's the retirement sorted!)
Help family out. Invest a lot of it.
Take time off to do all those creative projects I struggle to fit in amongst everything else. I would just LOVE the freedom to do that stuff. 🙂
randommusings29@gmail.com
Sounds like a good plan 🙂 The freedom to just enjoy life without the monotony of routine work days would be amazing 🙂

It is good to dream for sure. I would love to go travelling and never have to stop! 🙂
Helen WonderfullyAverage
I think in reality I'd probably do something similar to your boring option but with a little travel thrown in too. I love to dream about what I'd do if I won loads of money!
randommusings29@gmail.com
Yeah, in truth I would probably go somewhere in the middle, but it would be so great to just think sod it and go off and do all the fun stuff. After all it's only money, when it's gone it's gone lol. I often dream about a lottery win lol!
Jeremy Barnes
travel, travel, travel. Then find an island to live on where nobody would bother me. I'd probably even take the family
randommusings29@gmail.com
Oh yeah, that island thing sounds pretty good – as long as there was Wi-Fi! Lol @ probably take the time family 🙂
Sabrina Jillah
I think I'm like you, I'd actually do the first answer, share with my loved ones! Or maybe buy property so we had no mortgage, that would be so nice 🙂 Sabrina xx

I think if I actually did have he money I would fall somewhere in the middle – be a bit responsible but I would have to do a bit of travelling I wouldn't be able to resist 🙂 x
Karen (@karenjwhitlock)
Oooh, I have spent many a million dollars in my head on many occasions dreaming of lottery wins. We can always dream can't we?

Katie
Sounds very boring, but if I had a million pounds I would buy a farm and try to be as self sufficient as possible. After going on an extra long holiday of course lol. Thanks for linking up with #summerdays x
randommusings29@gmail.com
That doesn't sound boring at all – hard work, but not boring! Thanks for hosting 🙂 x

Never bought a lottery ticket ever : one day I will and I’ll win
Debbie, My Random Musings
I love lottery tickets but I think the most I’ve ever won has been around £80 haha
