My reading list for December should probably be Christmas classics, but it’s not.
It’s just the usual mix of books I have came across that I think I will enjoy.
These are actually quite different choices for me. Normally there is at least one crime book (fiction or true crime) on each month’s list. Arguably, John Grisham could be classed as a crime writer, but I tend to categorize legal dramas separately.
There is a horror book and a YA book, but although they are classified within those genres, they are again different from the type I would usually go for.
And the fourth book, I’m not even sure what genre I would rate it as – maybe I will have a stab at categorizing it after reading it.
Here goes:
1. Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion
Generally speaking, I think zombies have been massively over done in both books and movies and I am kind of over them, but this one sounds a bit different to the normal zombie book so why not?
2. Gray Mountain by John Grisham
I am a huge John Grisham fan, I love the whole courtroom drama thing so I am expecting to love this one.
3. The Descendants by Kaui Hart Hemmings
I’m not sure what first attracted me to this one – and no, it wasn’t George Clooney on the cover. I read the blurb on the back for some forgotten reason and it sounds like a great, emotional story.
4. Angel Time by Anne Rice
I remember reading all of Anne Rice’s vampire books in my teens and I loved them, so when I saw this one of her books, I had to give it a go.
What’s on your reading list this month? Let me know in the comments 🙂
