In the interest of full disclosure, today’s post was meant to be a book review, but I haven’t finished reading the book. That’s not as bad as it sounds. It’s not one I was sent to review, just one off my reading list.
So I was left puzzling out what to post today, so I thought I would go completely off topic and post 5 random facts about me that you (probably) didn’t know about me. I love reading these types of posts from other bloggers, and it’s been ages since I’ve done one, so here goes:
- I refuse to post a book review if I haven’t finished the book. It feels wrong on so many levels.
- I like watermelons, but they never ever taste as good as they look
- When I was a teenager, I thought being rich was everything. Better than love that’s for sure! Now I look back and wonder why I felt that way. As long as I’ve got enough for everyday essentials and the odd treat, I’m happy. It’s only pieces of paper after all.
- You know that feeling when you’ve had one drink too many and when you lie down in bed the room starts spinning? I actually kind of like it.
- If I could spend an hour with anyone from the past (not family or friends) I would choose Freud. I love psychology and his work fascinates me. I know a lot of it was probably overly simplistic in today’s terms and some of it is down right weird,Β but in a lot of cases, you can’t knock his premise.
So there you have it, 5 random things you didn’t know about me. At least I don’t think you did.
Why not tell me a random fact about you in the comments π

Haha – and vodka watermelons definitely always look nicer than they are!
Debbie, My Random Musings
Yes, totally. Whoever said you can’t taste the vodka didn’t put enough in lol π
Louise (Little Hearts, Big Love)
I think that’s a fair point about not posting a book review if you haven’t finished the book – I’m the same. Freud would be a very interesting person to chat too and I agree with your point about watermelons too – the taste doesn’t quite live up to the look of them! π
Debbie, My Random Musings
Sounds like we are quite similar Louise π It’s so disappointing when you have that first bite lol
Someone's Mum
I hate coleslaw. It is the devil’s food π
Debbie, My Random Musings
Oh, I agree! Wrong on so many levels π
Natalie Randall
Definitely agree with the watermelons, the concept of them is far better than actually eating them!
Debbie, My Random Musings
It really is! They look so sweet and nice and then they barely taste of anything.
Debbie
Hi Debbie, surely you can’t review a book without having finished it? And so glad it’s not only me who falls behind on their reading, should of finished my present book a week ago!
How can you like that room spinning experience you get when you’ve had a little too much? Crazy lady!
Random fact about me: I have two designated tea cups and don’t think tea tastes the same in any other cup.
xx
Debbie, My Random Musings
I couldn’t personally, the ending is often the part that can turn a whole book around for me.
I know it’s crazy but it feels like I’m floating π
I think a lot of people get attached to one particular cup x
Agent Spitback
