Firstly, I would like to thank Laura from Five Little Doves for the Sisterhood of the World tag. Secondly, I would like to make a massive apology to Laura, as she nominated me absolutely months ago.
I completely forgot about the tag until today. I was sorting through some old notes to see what needed deleting and I found her list of questions and realized I never actually did it.
Sorry Laura – I hope it’s better late than never.
Sisterhood of The World tag – How It Works
Once you have been tagged, you must write a post including:
- A thank you to whoever nominated you
- Answers to the questions they asked
- Your own list of questions
- And a list of ten other bloggers you nominate to take part
As this is my third tag, I won’t be nominating anyone else, but if you want to take part, consider yourself nominated. You can either answer Laura’s questions, or if you search my posts, you will find my questions I set in my first tag.
Sisterhood of The World Tag – My Answers
1. Which song would you choose as the soundtrack to your life?
This is a tough one! I have so many favourite songs but I don’t know which one I would say relates to my life. I would probably go with something kind of cliché like “Always Look on the Bright Side of Life”. It’s a jokey song but it has a good message – there’s always a bright side, even when things get you down.
2. What advice would you give to your 16 year old self?
Listen to people around you – they do know better than you. Don’t be in a rush to grow up, it’s not all it’s cracked up to be. And most importantly, trust your instincts – if something feels wrong don’t do it, and if someone makes you unhappy, walk away.
3. How did you come up with the name of your blog?
I always knew I wouldn’t be able to stick to one topic, so my blog was always going to be a mix of things, so I knew I wanted the word random in there, and I just liked the ring of adding musings rather than thoughts.
4. If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I should probably say something healthy here, but in the name of honesty, I would have to say cheese. I eat far too much of the stuff and add it to everything.
5. If you could choose to have any talent, what would it be?
I would like to be able to sing. I don’t think I would like being a pop star or anything, it would just be nice to be able to sing along with a song without deafening everyone around me.
6. What do you miss most about your life pre-children?
I don’t actually have any children, but if I did, I imagine it would be the freedom to just drop everything and go off and do something in the moment.
7. Will you still be blogging ten years from now?
Yes! Since starting blogging, I can’t imagine life without it. I love writing and I also love the community feel to blogging. I took two weeks off over Christmas and New Year, and I constantly felt like something was missing.
8. Who is your favourite literary character and why?
This one really made me think. Would it be bad to choose someone who’s not from a classic?
The more I thought about it, the more Katniss Everdeen from The Hunger Games kept popping into my head. I love that she is fearless and ruthless, but has enough of a conscience to worry about how her choices affect others. She is rebellious and stand up for what she believes in. She is a character that stayed with me long after I finished reading the books.
9. What do you find hardest about being a parent?
As I mentioned above, I am not a parent, but I think parenting is the hardest job in the world. I think the hardest part would be taking this tiny little human with no life experiences and trying to round them into someone with decent morals, and the confidence to be themselves in a world where conformity is the norm.
10. Who do you most admire?
I admire people who go out and live life. Who follow their dreams no matter what and work hard to achieve them. People who are thrown test after test and come through the other side. People who stand tall through the challenges life gives them and don’t resort to self pity. I could list some, but I know I would miss people, so I will just leave it at that. The people I am describing will know who they are (assuming they read this).
Thanks again to Laura for the tag. That was a great list of questions, some really got me thinking. If you haven’t checked out Five Little Doves yet, give it a whirl. Laura is a fab writer and I guarantee you won’t be disappointed.

Ahh no need to apologise at all! Thank you for doing this, your answers were so interesting and some really made me smile. I am also a huge fan of cheese and also of Katniss Everdeen! She just kicks ass doesn’t she? Thanks again, and for your lovely comments about my blog. xx

I’m glad you liked them 🙂 She really does! You’re welcome, I love your blog x
Tracey Abrahams
Great answers, I saw the first Hunger Games film for the first time over christmas (the idea of a film where children fought to the death never appealed before) and I think I may read the books now. #Momsterlink
Debbie, My Random Musings
Thank you 🙂 Yes, when you say it like that it sounds pretty horrific doesn’t it! The books are fab. The movies follow the real story pretty closely, but I think in the book there is more character development and more about the personal relationships of the characters.
Becky, Cuddle Fairy
What a fun read. I love these challenges posts & getting to know the blogger more. I too can’t sing but that doesn’t stop me from doing it lol I haven’t read the Hunger Games but that sounds like a compelling character. #momsterlink
Debbie, My Random Musings
Thank you 🙂 There’s not enough alcohol in the world to make me sing publicly lol! If you get chance give it a read (or watch the movies, they’re actually pretty close to the books) it really is good.
Someone's Mum

Love your choice of Katniss. I read all the books first and couldn’t put them down once I started them and was quite surprised that the movies follow the books quite well. Do you have pets Debbie? Because if so, that makes you a parent too you know 😉 I was clearly the dog mommy until 36 when I popped my first kid out. And believe me that dog was spoiled beyond belief. I am happy to report that my children are not as spoiled. Thanks for linking up with #momsterslink.

I loved the books and the movies, and normally when I’ve read the books first I hate the movies. I used to have a dog and yes, she was spoiled really bad. If I had kids and spoiled them as much as I did the dog, the world would hate them haha. Thanks for hosting!
Something Crunchy Mummy
Great questions and answers. I love things like this as we find something extra out about the blogger. Thanks for linking up to #justanotherlinky xx
