I can’t believe how close we are to March. I’m not complaining, it means we’re a little bit closer to summer, but the year is flying by already.
February has been quite a good month for me. My stats have increased, and I have finished the first draft of my novel – now for the hard part: editing.
As usual, I am sharing my 3 best and 3 worst performing posts from this month.
Best Posts:
- Interview Question You’ll Be Asked and How To Answer Them This post was part of my careers mini series.
- February’s Reading List This is a surprise because last month, my reading list was in the bottom three. This post did really well on Stumble Upon which I think helped a lot.
- How To Find Your Dream Job Another post from my careers mini series. All of those posts did better than average.
Worst Posts:
- Me Time: 3 Reasons We All Need Some Maybe people saw the title and went off and had me time instead of reading it (at that’s what I hope happened).
- Ever After by Kim Harrison: Book Review Generally, I find book reviews are often at the lower end of the scale but I enjoy doing them so I don’t want to give them up. They don’t miss out on the average views by too many so I can live with a few less views those days. It could also be that Thursdays (which is when I usually post book reviews) are just a slower traffic day.
- Blogging Courses: 6 Online Courses To Make Blogging Easy This one surprised me to be honest, I thought it would have been one of the posts that did quite well. It just goes to show you can never predict which posts will be better than others.
If you haven’t already read these posts, why not check out the most popular ones and see if you agree that they are better than some of the other posts from this month, or why not show some of the least viewed ones some love.
What were your best and worst performing posts this month? Let me know in the comments 🙂

It can be surprising what turns out to be popular and what’s a bit of a flop.

I know, there’s always at least one of the posts on these two lists that surprise me!

You’re right, I don’t think you can ever predict which posts are going to do well.

It’s weird, the ones I think will do well never do and the ones I’m nervous about publishing always seem to do better!

I can never say which of my posts will perform the best or worst, sometimes I think it is more to do with when you publish a post #TwinklyTuesday

Yes, that’s a fair point, I think I publish mine at weird times which probably doesn’t help!

I’m always surprised by what I think is going to do well or not, so I’ve stopped guessing. I’ve just continued to write my nonsense. I am so looking forward to reading your book! Thanks for sharing with #abitofeverything

I should probably stop too, I’m usually wrong anyway lol 🙂 Thank you and thanks for hosting

Great roundup, I really like reading book reviews so I’m surprised that has not done so well. Thanks for linking up! #bestandworst

Thank you 🙂 I like reading book reviews too. I don’t know if a lot of my readers don’t or if it’s a Thursday thing! Thanks for hosting

It is quite strange sometimes to see which post does well and which doesn’t – it isn’t always so much about the effort or the topical nature, sometimes it is pretty random. It is a good idea to check up on them though to see what your readers like!
Thanks for linking to #mymonthlyroundup and hope to see you next month 🙂 I’ll hop over now to read your career posts, sounds very interesting!

I’ve almost given up trying to predict what will and won’t do well as I’m almost never correct lol! I thought by doing this post I may see a pattern. I haven’t really but I still enjoy writing the post. Thanks for hosting, see you next month 🙂
