Welcome to day seven of the A to Z Challenge! My theme is 100 word (give or take a word or two) flash fiction on the darker side of human nature. I hope you enjoy.
Gaze
Longingly, I gaze at him, my mind wandering to last night. We had a lovely dinner, wine, followed by a night so passionate my cheeks burn at the memory. Afterwards, he held me tightly. Stroking my cheek, he told me he loved me. I watch him now, sitting there with his beautiful wife and I imagine myself sitting there instead of her. How can he sit laughing with her after last night? I suppose it could be because last night happened only in my head, this is the first time Iโve seen him. But I must have him.
For extended versions of the A-Z flash fiction pieces (this story has an epic extended version) and some whole new stories too, download my book, Twisted Tales.

Thank you
Haha, I think quite a lot of us have
As I was reading, I was wondering what the dark twist would be for the ending. Nice.

Thank you
Wow, that took a turn. Scary that there are people in this world who think like that.
Sadly there are!
Ooh, creepy stalker-y goodness! So many of these would make great starts to novels.
Thank you
There is a few I would like to turn into longer pieces. I think I am going to be very busy this year!
Awesome! Keep me posted, please.
Will do, thanks for the support
Definitely a stalker in the making. I was getting upset with her for being in the affair, then it turns out her has gone wild and she wants to run with it! Felt like jogging on a Mobius strip.

Is she stalking the wife or the husband? hmmm
It could really be either couldnโt it!
Love the twist
I want to know if she gets her way?
I loved the twist in expectations at the end! Nicely done!
@mirymom1
What a twist. Hopefully, the man would know to stay away!
Thank you
Letโs hope so!
I like the 100 word fiction story plan! Itโs really well written. Not just saying that. Iโd totally buy your story so you need to finish
Thank you, that really mean a lot to me. Iโm almost there
Iโm still amazed at what you can do with 100 words. Great job!
Thank you, Iโm so pleased people are liking the stories
Debbie, this makes for some fabulously reading for the lustful mind.
I like how the reality of it all was just a lustful fantasy. Hopefully, sheโll move on to another that more attainable with no attachments. This would be less complicated in life, but kinda dull for fiction. lol Thank you for visiting!
~Curious as a Cathy
Thank you
Yes, I agree โ in real life, you would want her to move on, but in fiction, you know you would want her to turn into a stalker lol!
Great story. Liked the twist at the end.
Thank you
I like the ending โonly in my mind.โ You could build on this story.
Thanks for visiting my blog on the A to Z.
Sunni
Thank you
I do have some plans to build on some of these stories after the challenge
Twisty good!
Thank you
I am in awe of your ability to structure an engaging work of fiction in as little as 100 words. Nicely done โ and I look forward to reading more of them throughout the month.
Thank you so much, I hope you like the rest
This can only end very, very badly โฆ
Yes, definitely!
