Welcome to day seven of the A to Z Challenge! My theme is 100 word (give or take a word or two) flash fiction on the darker side of human nature. I hope you enjoy.
Gaze
Longingly, I gaze at him, my mind wandering to last night. We had a lovely dinner, wine, followed by a night so passionate my cheeks burn at the memory. Afterwards, he held me tightly. Stroking my cheek, he told me he loved me. I watch him now, sitting there with his beautiful wife and I imagine myself sitting there instead of her. How can he sit laughing with her after last night? I suppose it could be because last night happened only in my head, this is the first time I’ve seen him. But I must have him.
For extended versions of the A-Z flash fiction pieces (this story has an epic extended version) and some whole new stories too, download my book, Twisted Tales.

Ooh, creepy stalker-y goodness! So many of these would make great starts to novels.
Debbie, My Random Musings
Thank you 🙂 There is a few I would like to turn into longer pieces. I think I am going to be very busy this year!

Definitely a stalker in the making. I was getting upset with her for being in the affair, then it turns out her has gone wild and she wants to run with it! Felt like jogging on a Mobius strip.

I like the 100 word fiction story plan! It’s really well written. Not just saying that. I’d totally buy your story so you need to finish 🙂
Debbie, My Random Musings
Thank you, that really mean a lot to me. I’m almost there 🙂
Trisha Faye
I’m still amazed at what you can do with 100 words. Great job!
Debbie, My Random Musings
Thank you, I’m so pleased people are liking the stories 🙂
Cathy Kennedy
Debbie, this makes for some fabulously reading for the lustful mind. 🙂 I like how the reality of it all was just a lustful fantasy. Hopefully, she’ll move on to another that more attainable with no attachments. This would be less complicated in life, but kinda dull for fiction. lol Thank you for visiting!

Thank you 🙂 Yes, I agree – in real life, you would want her to move on, but in fiction, you know you would want her to turn into a stalker lol!
Karen
