Power
They say money is the root of all evil. They are wrong. Power is the root of all evil. Money is merely a tool to achieve power. I have the power. The power to kill, to maim or to heal and preserve life. I choose to kill. That is the ultimate power. The power to take someone’s life and eradicate it. The ultimate thrill. Power like no other, it courses through my veins, warming me, feeding me, filling and nurturing me. Power in the wrong hands is a dangerous thing. I am living proof; it has corrupted me beyond repair. I am glad.

I’d agree that power is definitely something that can quickly make people do bad things. Add money to it and you have the square root of all that is evil, eh?

Totally agree – money and power in the wrong hands is a very dangerous thing!
Sounds like a fun character, though I would argue it is greed–the desire for power–rather than the power itself that is the root of all evil. After all, why else do people start wars?
That’s a fair point – power can only corrupt someone who is corruptible!

Being corrupt is bad enough, but being aware that you’re corrupt, and being content that you’re corrupt? Kinda scary!

I totally agree with what he said. When power is in the wrong hands it creates havoc. Makes me think of the TV Show the Following. You should watch it hehe.

Very nice. I’m really enjoying these 100-word stories. Just a moment to read them, but it’s giving you time to flesh out an idea that might get a little twisted by the time you finish. The ending of this one is awesome.
