Today’s post is a little off topic, but recently I’ve been tagged in a few blogging tag posts, so I thought I would combine them all and just do one post.
The first set of questions is from Natalia at XOXO Make blog.
Light, Medium or Full coverage foundation?
I only really wear foundation when I go for a night out, but it would be light coverage.
Favourite drugstore and high end brand?
I’m cheating for drug store, and going with Avon. I know it’s technically not a store, but it’s in that price range. I love Mac, although to serious make-up people that’s probably not really high end.
Do you have a dream item you want badly?
No, if I feel that strongly about an item, I go buy it.
What is your HG makeup or skincare item?
I feel I should choose something really sophisticated here, but I’m sticking with honesty. I adore Avon’s gel pencil eye liner. It glides on so easy and it’s a nice dark black (they aren’t paying me to mention them I swear).
What kind of product do you have the most of?
Without a doubt, nail polishes. I have hundreds of them.
Celebrity makeup inspo?
Honestly, I don’t have one. Someone who looks good without 2 inch thick foundation works for me if anyone wants to suggest someone.
A good spa day or the same value in makeup?
The same value in wine would be good 😉 Out of these options, I’d choose the make-up though.
Preference: Straight, Wavy or Curly hair?
I love curly hair, but of course that means mine is stick straight.
Sephora or Ulta?
I haven’t heard of either of them. Can you see why I could never make it as a beauty blogger?
Matte, Metallic, Creamy or Glossy lips?
Glossy.
Thanks for the tag Natalia 🙂
The next set of questions are from Michelle at Rockin’ Random Mom
What was the last thing you ate?
I literally just finished a packet of Walker’s cheese and onion crisps. Not exactly a healthy snack but as it’s now just gone midnight and it’s all I’ve had to eat all day, I’m not that worried.
When was the last time you had Me Time and what did you do?
I would count blogging/writing as me time because I enjoy it, but other than that, it would have been Friday night. I had a little glass of wine and watched some Netflix.
What is the craziest pick up line that was tried on you?
I once had a guy say “I want to f**k you so hard you won’t be able to sit down for a week.” It wasn’t so much what he said, more the fact that was his opening line. No hello, or anything, because apparently that’s ok to say to a total stranger. I thought it was hilarious, and I think he took my laughter as a no. Actually that’s not the worst one, but the other one I could think of it not exactly blog friendly.
What was your best date ever?
I’m not big on romantic gestures, I’m more a pint down the local type so nothing particularly exciting I’m afraid.
What was the scariest thing you ever did?
It’s a toss up between starting this blog, sending my book to a literary agent and anything involving deep water. I have a weird thing about water that’s deeper than I am high.
What is your favourite thing about motherhood?
I’m not a mother but if I had to guess what I think it would be, it would looking at a little person and knowing you made them.
What is your least favourite thing about motherhood?
Again, I’m not a mother, but this one would be anything relating to cleaning bodily fluids.
What is the worst book you’ve ever read?
50 Shades – I still read the other two though and the re-write from Christian’s perspective.
What’s the last song you heard on the radio?
I rarely listen to the radio unless it’s on at work, the ads drive me crazy. I think it was Jar of Hearts but I could well be wrong.
Thanks for the tag Michelle 🙂
And the final set of questions are from Mrs Tubbs at Someplace Strange
Is there a book on your night stand right now?
Not technically on my nightstand, but on the floor beside it are Perfect People by Peter James, Atonement by Christine Benedict and Inside Alcatraz by Jim Quillen.
What was the last truly great book you read?
I’ve just finished the Gone series by Michael Grant, and it was absolutely brilliant.
If you could meet any writer, dead or alive, who would it be and what would you want to know?
This is a tough one. I want to say Stephen King as he’s one of my all time favourite authors, but I have no idea what I would want to know. Maybe some spoilers from his next release.
What books might we be surprised to find on your shelves?
Being as I’m mostly into horror, YA, thrillers, crime books and the odd bit of fantasy, it would probably come as a surprise that I do have a few chick lit books. I’d like to think the mummy porn books would surprise people, but I really don’t think it would come as a surprise to most people.
Is there a book you’ve always meant to read but haven’t gotten around to yet? Anything you feel embarrassed to never have read?
I keep threatening to start the Game of Thrones series but I still haven’t gotten around to that one yet. There’s a lot of classic literature I haven’t read. There was a time I would have been embarrassed to be so under read, but now I look at it as reading should be a pleasure, not a chore, and I don’t want to waste time on books that people say I “should” read.
Disappointing, over rated, just not good. Name a book you feel you were supposed to have liked but didn’t. Do you remember the last book you put down without finishing?
I would have to say The Fault In Our Stars. It wasn’t that it wasn’t good as such, I just felt like I should have been more into that I was. I thought it was ok, but it nowhere near lived up to all the hype. The last book I put down without finishing would have been Little Hands Clapping. I just didn’t get it at all, I was lost from pretty much the start and not a lot seemed to be happening.
What kind of stories are you drawn to? Any you steer clear of?
I’m drawn to anything scary, or a bit psychologically twisted. I also have a thing for jail memoirs. The only genre I have never even attempted, and still have no plans to attempt is Westerns.
If you could choose a book the leader of your country had to read what would it be?
Is there such a thing as “Running A Country For Dummies”?
What do you plan to read next?
I really want to get started on Terry Goodkind’s Wizard’s First Rule.
Thanks for the tag Mrs Tubbs.
Now I’m supposed to tag people, but I think it’s a bit much being tagged in something this long. If anyone likes the look of anyone of the questions, and wants to answer some or all of them, consider yourself tagged.

Great answers. Interesting how questions tell you so much about the interviewer. Have you ever noticed?
Debbie, My Random Musings
I hadn’t thought about it before, but yeah, they do don’t they!
Mrs Tubbs
Dummies is putting it politely I think! But that is a great idea 🙂 Clever idea to combine them all 🙂
Debbie, My Random Musings
Haha, yeah it is! Thank you 🙂

Usually those “tags” are coupled with those chain-letter-type awards…
Debbie, My Random Musings
Yeah, I think one of these was but I don’t bother with the badge or anything – when I first started blogging and got my first Liebster award I was so happy. Lol, so naïve!
Michelle
Loved all of your answers Debbie! I’m not much into make up myself but I almost never leave the house without eyeliner on, LOL! I love horror too, as I’m sure you can tell but within that genre I definitely favor anything to do with the supernatural: Vampires, werewolves, ghosts, zombies, aliens: ya know what I’m talking about:) Thanks for participating in the questions Debbie!
Debbie, My Random Musings
Thank you 🙂 Eyeliner is my go-to make-up item! Lol, I do know what you’re talking about for sure, I love all that kind of stuff too!
