Following on from yesterday’s Holidays: Abroad Vs Staycation post, today I am sharing with you some holiday inspiration with three places I have visited abroad that I loved. If you’re looking for somewhere for this year’s holiday, why not check these out.
Holiday Inspiration 1: Benidorm, Spain
I talked a lot about what I love about Benidorm in an earlier post, so I won’t rehash it all here, but if you’re looking for cheap and cheerful with sun, good night life and great days out, this is worth checking out. You can also visit the old town for a more traditional Spanish experience. I’ve been to Benidorm four times and I would go again in a heart beat.
Holiday Inspiration 2: Rome, Italy
If you’re looking for a city break, then it doesn’t come more beautiful than Rome. It’s such a gorgeous city to stroll around in and there’s so much to see: The Trevvi Fountain, The Vatican, The Colosseum, The Spanish Steps and loads more. Or just spend time in a café in one of the pretty little Piazzas drinking amazing coffee and eating fantastic food. And the gelato – need I say more.
Holiday Inspiration 3: Albufeira, Portugal
This is another place that mixes up the typical beach and booze holiday with the potential for a little culture. When I visited, I stayed in the traditional side of town. It was so pretty and the locals were really friendly. It’s about twenty minutes walk into the touristy part, which is a lot of fun, but I would recommend staying in the traditional part to get a true taste of Portugal. And a twenty minute walk in the sunshine taking in the sights really is quite nice.

Oh wow…those sound NICE! Outside the U.S., I’ve only been to Germany, Paris, and London…not very well traveled!

Paris is definitely on my bucket list!

My favorite places to visit are still in the US. Maybe one day I’ll have some overseas destinations to say I loved visiting.

I would love to go to the US, particularly New York. Every time I watch anything set in New York, it gets me set off wanting to go there again 🙂
