As part of my Over To You theme, Claire over at Life, Love and Dirty Dishes sent me a list of questions which I will answer below. Thanks Claire.
Is Marmite some sick twisted spread that pretends to look like chocolate spread or a little piece of heaven on toast?
It’s definitely evil stuff. The look, the taste, the smell. Everything.
What’s your most embarrassing drunken incident?
Oh, I’ve had so many of these. Probably the worst one would have been when I managed to fall most of the way down a spiral staircase (in my defence who puts a spiral staircase in a pub?). I then sat on the stairs feeling sorry for myself and refusing to move until someone went to find my shoe which fell off and went through the railing on the stairs.
Would you tell a friend if the dress they were planning on wearing looked awful?
It depends. If they asked for my opinion, then yes, because if it was me asking, I wouldn’t want someone to lie to me. If they didn’t ask, I wouldn’t say anything. I think it’s a bit rude to just point it out without being asked.
If they were only in the stages of trying it on and hadn’t actually bought it yet then I would say even without being asked.
If someone has purchased a product that for whatever reason isn’t up to scratch, do you think it is ok for them to call the company out via social media?
Personally, I think it’s common decency to contact the company directly first. Given the chance, they might sort the problem to your satisfaction. If they ignore you though, or fob you off, then, yes I do think it’s ok to warn other people of them via social media.
What do you like most about yourself?
I like how I have chilled out recently. I used to be someone who flipped out if things didn’t go exactly to plan. I have now learned to accept that things are liable to go wrong, and stressing out does nothing to change it. I now tend to just laugh it off and get on with it.
What’s you top twitter peeve?
Auto DMs. They drive me insane. It’s just a continuous stream of messages to be ignored.
Favourite food / drink / place / person.
My favourite food is cheese.
My favourite alcoholic drink is rose wine. Non-alcoholic drink is either coffee or coke.
My favourite place is Spain.
There’s no way I can choose a favourite person. I’m also not going to bore you by listing everyone. It’s a large mix of family and friends.
Who is your guilty pleasure?
Probably Katie Hopkins. While I agree that a lot of what she says is crap, I like the fact she isn’t afraid to speak her opinion, even when she knows it won’t be popular. I think it’s hilarious how with one sentence, she can draw in every troll within a million mile radius.
I also find it really funny how all the people get on their soap boxes about everything she says, and how she shouldn’t be famous, but then they are the ones making her famous by biting every time.
Your happiest childhood memory?
I had a really happy childhood, I have so many good memories. One of my favourite memories is visiting my grandparents. There was a house about fifteen minutes away from theirs that had hundreds of garden gnomes and I was fascinated with them. I would always persuade my grandmother to take me to see them. I think I was about 4 at the time. I often wonder now what the people who lived in the house thought of me standing peering into their garden.
Thanks again for the questions Claire 🙂

Isn’t it interesting how one’s questions tell you quite a lot about the person asking?
Debbie, My Random Musings
Yes, it is isn’t it 🙂
Janet
I really enjoyed reading these questions – love the memory of the garden gnomes as this is certainly something that would stick in a child’s head. I remember playing in the house that I lived in until I was three, and playing in the garden, in the mud, filling up my plastic pots and pans (my children have never done this haha!).

Debbie, My Random Musings
Thank you 🙂 Filling pots up with mud was great, it’s a rite of passage for an 80s kid I think lol
the frenchie mummy
I love cheese too and wine 🙂 it was great to read about you. I love these questionnaires #AnythingGoes
Debbie, My Random Musings
Thank you 🙂
Sarah - Craft Invaders
Great bunch of questions – you do seem chilled out although will now always picture you sitting drunk at the bottom of a spiral staircase, nursing your ankle and looking very grumpy!
Debbie, My Random Musings
Haha, I’m not sure that’s a good thing lol!
Jessica Powell (Babi a Fi)
I’m so with you on cheese! I can’t bear Katie Hopkins though – not least because she’s a sign I’m getting old because I had no idea who she was for months. I thought she must have been on Big Brother! lol. #anythinggoes
Debbie, My Random Musings
I think she was originally on The Apprentice so same sort of thing!
Laura @ Life with Baby Kicks
Marmite definitely is HELL on toast!!!!! With you on that Debbie. I like Katie Hopkins too, I am a sucker for anything controversial and troll inducing! And well – you know my thoughts on auto DMs #AnythingGoes
Debbie, My Random Musings
I’m glad I’m not the only one that quite likes her. Even when she’s spouting total rubbish I sort of admire the fact she is up there doing it x
DiscomBUBulated
Marmite is heaven! And I fell down stairs once and broke my ankle – whoops (yes drunk). #AnythingGoes
Debbie, My Random Musings
Ouch! At least mine was just my pride that got hurt lol!
Michelle
I used to like garden gnomes too! I used to pretend they came to life after dark and the garden was their little village…Yeah I had a pretty vivid imagination, LOl! I also used to think the cabbage patch garden of one of my mom’s friends contained real cabbage patch kids. I actually have an interesting story about that! Maybe I’ll write about it sometime. Great questions and thanks for hosting #anythinggoes Debbie!
Debbie, My Random Musings
That sounds great Michelle, it would be nice to think the gnomes have their own little world. I’d love to read your cabbage patch kid story, I loved those dolls 🙂 Thank you and thanks for linking up!
Hayley McLean
Brilliant questions! I agree – marmite is what evil tastes like. I do hate Katie Hopkins but thats more because she just seems like a really annoying twonk…I do find her whole kind of “fame” quite amusing, and credit where its due…she does what she does very well! #anythinggoes
Debbie, My Random Musings
She does know how to get under people’s skin, and imagine how good it would be to be paid to just sit on TV and talk about your opinion!
wendy
Ha I love that cheese is your favourite food!I hate Katie Hopkins though, I like that she speaks her mind it’s just a shame the opinions she has are awful!Your drunken night out disaster sounds horrible. .I hope you didn’t hurt yourself!xxx #anythinggoes
Debbie, My Random Musings
It was a disaster, I laugh about it now but I didn’t at the time lol. I didn’t haha 🙂 x
Carol Cameleon
Totally agree with you on Katie Hopkins – don’t feed the troll troller, if that makes sense?! lol I love cheese and auto DMs… ugh! Thanks for hosting #AnythingGoes
Debbie, My Random Musings
Lol it does 🙂 Auto DMs should be banned!
Becky, Cuddle Fairy
Oh this is so fun! Clare came up with some fabulous questions! I too love cheese – it’s the nicest. Spiral stairs in a pub is such a bad idea – that is trouble just waiting to happen right there. #AnythingGoes x
Debbie, My Random Musings
They were fab questions, lots of fun to answer 🙂 They really are a bad idea, I don’t know how more people haven’t fell! x
Laura
Being more chilled out is definitely the way to be, since having my son I think I am too – thinking back about things I used to stress about just seems bonkers now!
Wonder if you’d like marmite cheese!?! Hehe, saw it in the shops a little while back!
#AnythingGoes
Debbie, My Random Musings
Yes, I look back and wonder what I was so bothered about too!
Oh, I haven’t heard of that, I don’t know if I’d be brave enough to try it lol
Yvonne
I can honestly say I don’t think I would want to admit my most drunken moment lol! Great answers, It try to be more chilled but not sure it is in my nature.. xxx #AnythingGoes
Debbie, My Random Musings
Haha, it’s definitely not my finest hour! I actually like being more chilled, so much less stressful 🙂 x
Silly Mummy
These are great questions! I agree about the auto DMs. & I have fallen down a whole staircase NOT drunk – I’m just clumsy! I agree about complaints against companies – I don’t think people need to jump straight to SM (or getting their story in the newspaper) without giving the company a chance to rectify first (or at all when the company actually responded reasonably – I hate people making a public fuss about something that was sorted out in a reasonable manner already!) Katie Hopkins I just dislike! Though I do agree that it is better not to give her any fuel and attention. This was fun – hope there are more of these! #anythinggoes
Debbie, My Random Musings
Lol, at least I have an excuse 🙂 I hate people that whinge just hoping they’ll get something free once the problem was sorted anyway. Thank you, there’s another coming later in the month!
