This week’s quote is one I think all of us bloggers will understand. Actually it’s not really a quote as such, it’s more of a statement, but I liked it anyway. It is:
“Where’s the best place to hide a dead body? On the second page of a Google search because no one ever looks there.”
It’s definitely true for me.ย It’s very rare I get past the first four or five results, let alone get into the second page.
Do you ever get past the first page on a Google search? Let me know in the comments ๐
You can find me here: Twitterย Facebook Bloglovin Pinterest and Instagram Please do stop by and say hi!

Yes I do, but that is usually only when looking for anything by me LOL #pocolo

Haha, yeah, I get that one, I do it then too!
Em
I do if I am specifically looking for something/someone however if I am searching generally I never go past the first page…..which as a blogger I should really get out of the habit of doing!
Debbie, My Random Musings
I agree – as bloggers we know for sure that sometimes there’s good pages on that search that just aren’t well optimized! It’s so easy just to go with the first one you see though
Emilie
I do sometimes but it usually means I’m not searching for quite the right thing!
Debbie, My Random Musings
Yeah I know what you mean. I tend to try different search words ๐
Patricia Lynne
There’s been times I’ve gone a few pages deep in Google’s search when researching for a WIP.
Debbie, My Random Musings
Really? I think I’m just impatient lol

Depressingly this is so true! I have found myself go past page one in Google searches in my life but only in one type of situation! And that is when I had a concern about one of my children & was really searching for advice. For example, when our daughter was diagnosed with hip dysplasia, I was trying to read about it & how people deal with it. I was onto page 3 & beyond. Thanks so much for sharing with #candidcuddles Debbie x

I think for something like that you would read everything you could find, but generally the first couple of hits usually answer the question. Thanks for hosting ๐ x

Great statement, I had a chuckle when I caught a glimpse of your quote over on the #CandidCuddles linky page. I am a bit of a page turner when I am trying to find something very specific. But otherwise, it’s 1st page for me too.
Debbie, My Random Musings
Thank you ๐ If I don’t find what I want on the first page, I tend to use different words, I’m so inpatient!
Mackenzie Glanville
I have, but usually no. I think this quote is hilarious! #candidcuddles
Debbie, My Random Musings
Thank you ๐ It was one of those that really made me laugh when I first saw it

Hehe, so true – and if I am ranking highly, it’s usually my G+ post instead of my actual blog! #candidcuddles
Debbie, My Random Musings
It’s still a good way to drive traffic ๐
jeremy@thirstydaddy
I’ve actually gotten to the third or fourth page fairly often. It usually happens when I’m looking for information that actually isn’t available and I’m too stubborn to try another tactic or refine my search
Debbie, My Random Musings
I go the opposite way and refuse to keep scrolling lol
An imperfect mum (Catie)
This made me LOL. SO true!!! ๐ธ
Debbie, My Random Musings
It did me when I first saw it too ๐

Great. So true. I will go to a second page of a search if I’m looking for something specific. But normally, no, if it’s not on the first page, I won’t see it.
Debbie, My Random Musings
Same here, although usually if it’s not in the first few results, I change my search term rather than go hunting
