This week, we have Samantha from Me, Myself and Mommy taking part in the Blogger Spotlight interview.
If you would like to take part, and your blog is under six months old, or has been re-launched in the last six months, please email me randommusings29@gmail.com
1 Firstly, tell us a little bit about yourself
My Name is Samantha and I live in Northern California, US. I will be 29 in December of this year. I have been married for almost three years but we got together at just 18. We have CJ (5) and Savanna(3). I love a good book and my glue gun. I got my craftiness from my mom.
2 What is your blog’s name and what is it about?
My blog is Me, Myself and Mommy. It is really just about my life as a mommy. I suffer from depression and I like to write about that. I just started sharing my crafts and other things. It’s a work in progress.
3 Why did you decide to start a blog?
I am a writer by nature and have thought about starting a blog for years. When I hit a very low point in my life and decided I needed to take action, I just decided I was going to just jump in. It has proven to be very therapeutic for me.
4 Do you have any goals for your blog?
I want it to grow, grow, grow! I eventually want to make a full time income from my computer, but I also want to keep connecting with other women and moms who can relate to what I am writing. Those connections are the best part of blogging for me.
5 Tell us one random fact about you.
I am completely obsessed with Christmas. And now so are my kids. I think and talk about Christmas all year long. We watch Christmas movies anytime of the year. Our favorites are Home Alone and The Grinch.
6 What is the best piece of blog related advice you have received so far?
The best advice I have read (over and over, all good bloggers know this to be true) is to connect with other bloggers and especially your readers. Those connections are what make your page grow and grow. Those wonderful people who enjoy what I write like to share it. Those shares are what brings people to my site. Plus, it’s pretty fun connecting with women and moms from all over the world.
7 What is your favourite thing about blogging?
Connecting with other women/moms who can relate to what I am writing about, moms who also fight their own battle of depression. I receive so many comments, even a few direct emails from moms who share their stories with me. It has been a huge blessing and has helped me in so many ways.
8 Is there anything you would do differently if you were starting over knowing what you know now?
I would focus more on using Pinterest in the beginning. I really started building my following on Twitter. It has been a source of traffic, but once I started using Pinterest to get my post’s out there my traffic has started to slowly increase more and more.
9 Anything else you’d like to share with us?
If you’re feeling a little low (or a lot low), please check out my site and come connect with others who can relate to how you’re feeling.

Debbie and Samantha, great interview! I wish all the new bloggers the very best and hope they reach their goals. I’ve been blogging nearly 7 years, and my site is the place to go for “comfort food with flair,” much of it reflecting my English heritage.

Thank you 🙂 Sounds great!
