Blogger Spotlight Interview: One Clueless Mumma

1 Firstly, tell us a little bit about yourself

Hi I’m Hayley, I’m 33 and I’m a first time mum-to-be. I live in Surrey with my husband and our dog Ted. We got married in May and our baby is due to arrive in April this year so we’ve had some big things happening!

2 What is your blog’s name and what is it about?

My blog is called ‘One Clueless Mumma’ which is 100% accurate as I’m totally clueless about what lies ahead. I wanted to start a blog to write about my pregnancy and journey in to parenthood. I’m hoping I can write about my own discoveries and findings as a first time mum, which will hopefully help other clueless parents out there. Sometimes I can be fairly funny so fingers crossed that comes across in my posts, I’d like to inject some humour!

3 Why did you decide to start a blog?

After finishing my last freelance contract I decided to start a blog and I’ve found it so therapeutic! It’s so scary putting yourself out there but I’ve started not caring about what other people might think and just enjoying being a part of the blogging community, which Is brilliant by the way!

4 Do you have any goals for your blog?

I want to find my style and I think the longer I blog the quicker I’ll get in to a groove. I would love to grow followers and start guest posting eventually but in the short term I want to continue connecting with other blogging and enjoying writing!

5 Tell us one random fact about you

I’m obsessed with west end musical and know all the word to most of the Les Miserables tracks…….don’t get me started!

6 What is the best piece of blog related advice you have received so far?

I think the best bit of advice is to stop comparing yourself to other well-established blogs and to concentrate on what you’re doing. It’s great to be inspired by other blogs, which I am on a daily basis, but not to compare yourself!

7 What is your favourite thing about blogging?

It’s got to be the blogging community. It’s so welcoming and helpful. I’ve really enjoyed connecting with other bloggers on social media and enjoying the interaction.

8 Is there anything you would do differently if you were starting over knowing what you know now?

I think maybe doing a bit more research about who to host my blog with! I made a quick decision and not sure I made the right one but everyday I’m learning and trying to get my head around all the techy stuff. I’ve got a long way to go but I’ll get there eventually.

9 Anything else you’d like to share with us?
