  1. I love sewing. My blog is based on that – particularly quilting but also small items. I am not into clothes though – I did sew for myself for a good while but not any more. My family have give up asking who or what a quilt is for because I often don’t know – it was a pattern I wanted to try or an idea I had. The quilts usually find a home. They don’t give me quilt related presents for birthday or Christmas though. They say I have enough… and they don’t know what to buy me. So I have given up asking for it and buy it myself.

  2. I love the sentiment of this quote – I just don’t have one specific thing that sets me on fire – I’m a bit more diverse (a little bit of this and a little bit of that keeps me happy).

  3. I’m like Leanne (above). No single specific, burning passion. Although I often wish I did. I personify the old cliche “Jack of all trades, master of none”.
Cooking and eating. Writing. Knitting and craft. Reading and researching. Singing.

  4. Excellent quote, very thought-provoking.
Writing has become my burning pursuit. Not just the creation of sentences and stories, though. I love the research, the discussions, the critiques, even (don’t laugh) the edits! Mystery is my genre but I also like writing poetry (mixed emotions led to two AtoZ blogsites this year!)

A short yet very meaningful post… I like doing anything creative… that includes writing, cooking, craft work, designing crossword puzzles for my kids etc…. When i started reading this post though i got reminded of a Tom and Jerry cartoon where Tom sees a beautiful female cat, dresses up like a cowboy grabs a guitar and starts singing to her ” you set my soul on fire ”

  6. Awesome post! If not for the thing that one’s soul crave … what would be the purpose in life. Happiness, the thing we seek in like is what keeps us going or as Aristotle would have called it eudaimonia.
Thanks far sharing this motivating post. 🙂
    Best Wishes!

Adventures really put me on fire? How do I do new adventures often?
But the quote is truly giving you a push kinds!

    Cheers

  8. If you can find that thing that sets your soul on fire, I think being fearless in pursuit of it often comes naturally. The challenge is finding that thing.

  9. You’re right!
This one causes goosebumps! Love the quote!
For me my passion is baking and cake decorating! I love it. It ignites something in me!
In fact, that’s my awesome theme this year for the A to Z too! 🙂

  10. I’m in active pursuit of a full-time fiction career, but if someone offered me unlimited funds to just sit on the beach and read, I’d probably be fine with that for the next gazillion years or so…

  11. Love this challenge.
Was going to go with writing too but honestly my grandchildren set my soul on fire more. But writing is second 🙂

Hi, great quote and great reasoning. It’s prompted me into thinking about what new activity I can take up #bloggerclubuk

  13. absolutely prabulous

This is serendipity on two levels. I was trying to find a partcular A-Z post I’d seen a few weeks ago, for inclusion in my latest blog stars. I googled it to no avail but instead saw loads of April A-Z posts and thought ‘what are they?’. Now here is yours! Secondly, I need to be constantly reminded of what you’ve mentioned; my blog confidence is on a constant nose-dive every day! #bloggerclubuk

  14. I love this quote. Apart form my son, photography sets my soul on fire, although I rarely have time to get the big camera out. When I do I am usually very happy with the results. #BloogerClubUK

  15. I’m always in awe of your A – Z challenges I don’t know how you can think of new things for each letter! I do love this year’s theme. This quote is gorgeous & really motivational!! x

  16. Nice quote, and I like the context you added to it. There are really two things that light my soul on fire. The first is writing, specifically writing fiction. The second is science, especially space exploration. Now if only there were some sort of combination of those two things… some sort of “science fiction,” if you will.
