April is here again and it’s time for this year’s A to Z Challenge. This year, my theme is motivational quotes. Each Monday to Saturday throughout April I will be posting a motivational quote each day starting with the letters A through to Z.
It’s traditional through the challenge to keep posts short and sweet, so that’s what I’ll be doing. Just a quick explanation of why I chose each quote and what it means to me.
Day 15 – O
“One small positive thought can change your whole day”
This is another quote that’s so simple yet so true.
Have you ever had one of those days where everything went wrong? Or a day where you can feel you’re in a bad mood for no particular reason right from the get go?
When those days come along, they are awful, but it’s true that just one small positive thought can turn like that around. It’s all about choice. You can choose to be negative, or you can choose to be positive.
If you wake up in a bad mood, find something to be thankful for, and you might just find your mood lifts.
If you’re having a bad day, chose to laugh at the absurdity of it rather than get more and more frustrated.
You never know, you just might turn a bad day around!
What do you do to turn a bad day into a good one? Let me know in the comments 🙂
Don’t forget to check back every Monday to Saturday to see the next motivational quote!

I tend to be a real worry-wart, always expecting the worst. I think if I could find more positive thoughts, I’d be a lot better off. Great quote!

I think if we can actively look for the positives, it can certainly make us a lot happier!

I love quotes. Thanks for sharing.

Gratitude and appreciation change everything – I think finding one little thing to be positive about can definitely change the flavour of the day.

Assuming I am having a bad day because of little things, I remind myself that in a week, month or year I will not even remember what is bothering me now. And deep breathing.

Great way to look at it!

I’m definitely a positive person but if I am feeling down I talk to my mum or best friend because they can always put a smile on my face.

soooo very true……just the smallest of a positive gesture or word can mean so much to someone……thank you for sharing….

This is ever so true . Even one positive thought can change the mood completely. We should make it a daily practice to remember at least one good thing each day.
Debbie, My Random Musings
Yes, I think if we all made that a habit, we’d all be much happier!

A dash of positivism is enough to spark up the dull day. For me its always been my friends and family whom I turn to when I am facing the bad day.

It’s great to have supportive people in your life 🙂

Being insanely menopausal right now I have lots of bad days. I remind myself that it is hormones, an actual physical thing and I give myself permission to feel bad. And then I typically feel better. Go figure!
Debbie, My Random Musings
Whatever works for you! I think when it’s hormone or health related you have to give yourself a break 🙂

I need to print this one out – great reminder!

This is something I forget a lot. Sometimes I dwell on the bad things when all I need is one little positive to turn my day around.
