Sounds brilliant! I totally agree with how much more difficult it can make things if your online presence starts off too far from how you want it to end up. It’s really worth putting plenty of thought into it beforehand.

  2. I think I was quite lucky with my experience. I had to set a blog up at work for my job and that kind of paved the way for my learning experience with my own blog. Although I remember the frustration when I wanted to get my logo on to my header. It took hours and then I got so stuck so I asked one of our IT geniuses at work. He did it in 2 minutes!

  3. I started mine when somebody tried to suck me into a pyramid scheme. $30 a month and they would help me set it up and promote. A quick google search and a bit of spite later I was up and running. There is a lot I wish I’d known sooner #anythinggoes

  4. This looks great – even though I’m a few years in and completely self-taught, I’d be intrigued to read your ebook – great idea! Hope it sells well for you! #AnythingGoes

Ah, fantastic! This is perfect for an aspiring newbie! There is just SO MUCH information to digest online…this is going to save a whole load of people a whole load of time!

Great for you to use your experience to help others so impressed by anyone who finds the time to write books – I must get organised! #anythinggoes

  7. Oh Deborah – I did exactly the same as you. I woke and thought right today is the day I start my own blog! To be fair I did spend a lot of time googling the do’s and don’ts and thinking why hasn’t anyone written a step-by-step guide on what to do?! A great idea for a book and am sure it will be snapped up. Sorry I am late commenting but better late than never I hope! #AnythingGoes

  8. What a great idea. And such a great price too. I wish you every success with it. I wish I’d planned a bit more before I started. I ended up name changing after two months so it has mucked up getting a da a bit but hopefully I’ll be found soon. #ukbloggerclub

  9. That sounds intriguing! I too, have made plenty of mistakes and am still trying to wrap my head around all the different aspects to blogging! #BloggerClubUK

Blogging has definitely been a learning process for me! I wish I had read something like this when I first started out, it’s a great idea! #BloggerClubUK

  12. I thought I’d done loads of research until I actually started, then I realised how much there was that I didn’t have a clue about! I think knowing what you’re doing from the start can definitely help, your book will be really useful to anyone just starting out! #BloggerClubUK

I totally did the research route….but felt like I was never gonna actually start, so one day I just paid for a domain name and just learned from there….like how I would need to self host to use the domain name I just bought lol. #bloggerclubuk

  14. What a fantastic idea for an e-book! Prior to starting my blog I had no idea there was so much to it and I’ve learnt so much (mainly through trial and error) over the past few years πŸ™‚ #BloggerClubUK

I’m a pantser. I just go with it. Reading too many ‘dos and donts’ freaks me out and makes me question everything and drives me insane. I’ll probably wish I’d read your book before long but for now I’m winging it πŸ™‚ #BloggerClubUK

What a great idea for a book. I could have done with this as there is so much to learn! Who knew? #bloggerclubuk

  17. Congrats on another wonderful book, Debbie! I don’t know how you do everything that you do. I haven’t started it yet but am really looking forward to reading it! There are so many things I’d do differently if I was to start a new blog xx
