1 Firstly, tell us a little bit about yourself
I’m Laura, a happily married 25 year old from Kent. I became a mum for the first time in September 2016 to a little girl named Autumn. I have so many interests; more than I have time for. I love writing, drawing, cars, music, beauty, fashion and food.
2 What is your blog’s name and what is it about?
My blog is called Autumn’s Mummy. I blog about my life as a first time mum, as well as mental health and various things that interest me.
3 Why did you decide to start a blog?
Shortly after Autumn was born, she became critically ill. Unwell myself, it was a lot for me to handle and I suffered severe anxiety, almost being hospitalised myself. I’ve always loved writing and found it cathartic, so I thought that blogging again may work as a kind of therapy and be something I’d really enjoy as I had in the past.
4 Do you have any goals for your blog?
My goals are very ambitious, but I’d love to continue enjoying to blog and perhaps designing and selling baby clothes alongside it.
5 Tell us one random fact about you
I absolutely love owls and have collected owl things since I was 9 years old.
6 What is the best piece of blog related advice you have received so far?
Be passionate – I really think that if you’re passionate about writing and your blog that your passion will come across to your readers.
7 What is your favourite thing about blogging?
Helping other people. My blog has helped several people already and it’s a great feeling!
8 Is there anything you would do differently if you were starting over knowing what you know now?
I’d do more research about different blogging platforms, as I sometimes feel a bit limited.
9 Anything else you’d like to share with us?
Smile at everyone you see today, smiling is contagious and you might make someone’s day!
