Welcome to the Blogger Spotlight Interview. This week we have Rachel from Indecisive Mum taking part in the Blogger Spotlight interview.
If you would like to take part, and your blog is under six months old, or has been re-launched in the last six months, please email me randommusings29@gmail.com
1 Firstly, tell us a little bit about yourself
I’m Rachel, a 37-year-old working mum of two girls. I live in Surrey with my husband.
I love chocolate, especially milk chocolate (not white chocolate). I drink a lot of caffeine to get me through the day.
I am very much into wellbeing and mindfulness; life can be so hectic that we sometimes forget to look after ourselves.
2 What is your blog’s name and what is it about?
I write an honest parenting and lifestyle blog called Indecisive Mum.
I thought the name pretty much sums me up as I am quite an indecisive person. It drives my kids and Husband mad when I can’t decide where to park in a car park full of spaces lol.
I write about the honest side on parenting, mental health, mindfulness/wellbeing and my family life.
3 Why did you decide to start a blog?
I decided to start a blog because it’s my way of off-loading my thoughts and to find out that it’s not just me who finds parenting has many highs and many lows.
Both of my children are on the spectrum so it’s nice to read other bloggers who I can relate to. The world can feel like a small place when your living in your own life.
4 Do you have any goals for your blog?
I would like to get noticed and develop a small readership for my blog.
I would like to see my blog grow into helping other bloggers realise you’re not alone when parenting is feeling hard.
I would like to write about fashion (not like my fashion is great but I’m getting there with developing my own style of I like to wear).
I have lots of ideas, not sure about actual goals though.
5 Tell us one random fact about you
I have one eye bigger than the other. It’s so awkward when trying to take selfies. I have to take loads to find one where my eyes look the same.
6 What is the best piece of blog related advice you have received so far?
To enjoy writing for me rather than writing what you think people want to read. That’s fake.
7 What is your favourite thing about blogging?
Hmmm, being able to express how I feel and finding other bloggers who feel the same.
8 Is there anything you would do differently if you were starting over knowing what you know now?
Erm no not really. I am pretty much a very small blogger with a small blog. I am still finding my feet.
9 Anything else you’d like to share with us?
My summer diet didn’t work whoops. Perhaps I should write about body acceptance too.
10 Where can we find you? (blog link and links to any social media)
