Welcome to the Blogger Spotlight Interview. This week we have Sue from Mama Mia taking part in the Blogger Spotlight interview.
If you would like to take part, and your blog is under six months old, or has been re-launched in the last six months, please email me randommusings29@gmail.com
1 Firstly, tell us a little bit about yourself
I’m Sue, I’m 32 and I am an office manager at a commercial property firm. I live near Bristol with my husband and our 18 month old daughter.
When I’m not working or blogging I enjoy Netflix boxsetting and I am currently a member of Slimming World. I’m about 2.5 stone down so far.
2 What is your blog’s name and what is it about?
My blog is called Mama Mia and it’s about parenting.
I write from my perspective and then my daughter’s which I thought would be an interesting way of writing.
My aim is to help parents not feel alone, because we all have struggles even if we don’t shout about them.
I thought the child’s perspective would either help them try to understand or at least give them a good laugh.
3 Why did you decide to start a blog?
I’ve always loved writing and I tried to start blogging when my daughter was born but I couldn’t really find my voice.
I started following The Tactical Mummy, joined her Facebook group and became an admin. She encouraged me to start blogging again.
4 Do you have any goals for your blog?
To grow it so that more people can read that their struggles are shared. If it could earn me some money that would be very nice, I have a little diva to look after.
5 Tell us one random fact about you
I have sung in Notre Dame Cathedral.
6 What is the best piece of blog related advice you have received so far?
To change the name of the blog. It was a bit generic before Mama Mia.
7 What is your favourite thing about blogging?
That you can touch people you don’t know with words that you write. I find it amazing.
8 Is there anything you would do differently if you were starting over knowing what you know now?
Buy a URL from the outset
9 Anything else you’d like to share with us?
Another thing that I have discovered through blogging is the amazing community of people who do it. If anyone else is thinking of writing a blog but is hesitant I would encourage them to go for it.
10 Where can we find you? (blog link and links to any social media)?
