I thought today I would share a Christmas Day poem with you all to get you truly into the festive spirit.
Christmas Day
Tinsel, glitter and hot mince pies,
So many lights you won’t believe your eyes,
The tree is all up and the fire is lit,
You’re hoping the dinner will be a big hit.
Turkey, stuffing, the list is so long,
You’re hoping and praying that nothing goes wrong,
Gifts to wrap and cards to write,
And your wish to Santa that Christmas is white.
The day rolls around and the gifts are all open,
Messages of thanks excitedly spoken,
Bikes are ridden and batteries put in,
You reach for the champers, it’s hardly a sin.
The dinner is over, the pots are all washed,
You sit to relax, feeling a little sloshed,
The Queen makes her speech and Harry Potter is on,
You wonder where all of the time has gone.
You sit in your chair and start to fall asleep,
Surrounded by a feeling of love so deep,
“That’s Christmas over,” somebody says,
You answer, “Don’t worry, only another 365 days!”
Are you excited for Christmas? Let me know in the comments 🙂

Ahh, this is really sweet. I’m not massively into Xmas if I’m honest but this has changed since my son came along and obviously it’s lovely to see him enjoy his gifts and all the festivities. Definitely feel fairly prepared and looking forward to some quality time with hubby and my boy, that’s the best headspace for me. Have a lovely Christmas look forward to more #BloggerClubUk fun in 2018. xx

Aww love this poem. It really is the best time of the year. Though I’m ready for some normality, I’m already looking forward to next year. I hope you and your family had a wonderful festive period.
