If you saw my update on last year’s blogging and writing bucket list, then you’ll know that although I didn’t hit all of my goals, I had a really good year. My freelance writing really took off and I’ve been super busy all year. I think this year is going to be another busy one, so rather than set twenty goals, I’ve limited myself to ten which I think makes it much more achievable.
I have some other, smaller goals, that I will bring into play later in the year if I do find I have extra time on my hands, but I think these goals should keep me busy:
Goal One
Grow my two new Facebook groups:
The first will be a place for bloggers to share their giveaways and compers to find them – if you run, or want to enter, giveaways join here.
The second will be a community for writers where I’ll offer support, tips, writing prompts and much more. It’ll be a place for writers to support one another (and we’ll have a weekly thread to promote your latest books). You can join here.
Goal Two
Complete and publish my latest novel
Goal Three
Post daily to the blog
Goal Four
Keep up with daily posts to Instagram and my Facebook page
Goal Five
Grow my social media followers by 50% (6,500) across Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
Goal Six
Write and publish a short story collection
Goal Seven
Write and publish two non-fiction books
Goal Eight
Complete the April A-Z Blogging Challenge (I did say I wouldn’t be doing this year’s challenge because the new format is awful, but I already have a theme idea and several posts swimming around in my head, so what the hell).
Goal Nine
Complete #NaNoWriMo
Goal Ten
Grow my monthly income by a further 30%
Wish me luck!

My goals are actually very simple. I would like to self-publish the book I’ve been working on for 2 years. I would also like to get my Zazzle store earning double the income it is now. Good luck to you with this year’s goals! #AnythingGoes
Debbie, My Random Musings
Good luck Heather! It’s so exciting publishing a book 🙂

Wouldn’t quite say that’s a bucket list, but they’re certainly good goals to go for!

I have just installed a new theme, so I’ve nearly achieved one (only lost 5 days of my life – not bad!). Next is to write up a list like yours so I feel more focused. Thanks for the inspiration x

Well done on achieving a goal so quickly! x

You are definitely very goal driven in this and I find that very inspiring! I joined your writer’s group and I am excited to be a part of that:) #anythinggoes

Nice goals!
Mine are to build my followers (this is day one, so you know, there aren’t many right now) and get an agent. I don’t feel I have much control over the latter though. It’s up to them to choose me 🙂
Debbie, My Random Musings
Thank you 🙂 Good luck, I’m sure you’ll have a fantastic year!

You have some great goals here! I only wish you to grow my blog to a total of 20 000 views (I am on about 5000 in total) as well as grow my social media following and take better blog pictures, I am currently working on that. Pretty miniscule goals but important ones 🙂
