To be successful in your career goals, it’s important to think like someone who is already successful. This change of mindset will help you to focus on your goals and push yourself forward.
Here are five things successful people do and don’t do:
Do: Show Up
Successful people show up – not just physically but mentally as well. They strive to make every day a productive day.
Do: Work on Their Goals Every Day
Successful people work on their goals every day – time is short, and if a task isn’t moving you towards your end goal, then it’s just a distraction.
Do: Focus on The Important Things
Successful people have great focus – they don’t allow themselves to be distracted by social media or the thousands of other things that can crop up when they are working.
Don’t: Let Fear of Failure Hold Them Back
Successful people don’t let the fear of failure stop them from trying something new. If they did, they wouldn’t be successful – they’d still be sitting on their dream, afraid to take the leap.
Don’t: Make Excuses
Successful people don’t make excuses. If you want to achieve something badly enough, you’ll find the time, you’ll get the qualification, you’ll make the connections. And you’ll never stop pushing yourself.

Great tips, Deborah! I think successful people also surround themselves with other successful people.

I would add: successful people answer when opportunity knocks, take care of themselves, and see failures as opportunities.
