Welcome to this year’s A-Z Blogging Challenge. My theme for this year is character prompts. Each day throughout April, you’ll find a new character prompt that relates to that day’s letter.
Day Sixteen: P – Party Time
Your character is throwing a party.
What sort of party will it be and who will they invite? Will it be a huge, alcohol fuelled party, a small, intimate gathering or something in between?
What happens at the party? Is it successful or does something go wrong?
Is your character happy they threw the party or not? Why?
I’d love to read some of the scenarios you create. Email them to me at debbie@myrandommusings.co.uk and I’ll share some of my favourites over the coming months here on the blog.

Peter picked up the Piper, then want and picked a piece of pepper pastry – to ensure some fire for the party. There was some pickle to have on the side.
The pepper pastry and the pickles were going down well with the Piper and his fans. The party was droning along a-piece, when he noticed that the Piper and his pepper pastry were parting ways with the pickle atop the piece in his hand. Everything went to ultra-slo-mo.
Peter tried, indeed he cried, he grappled with the piece of pickle that had parted company with the Piper and his pepper pastry. The adoring fans were gobsmacked.
Wherever did Peter arrive from so fast, and whatever was that piece of pastry with the peppers and pickles all pointed at the Piper?
Needless to say, the paparazzi had a field day.

Ooo, a party! I like parties! I have rarely written one, but I had a fun one in which everyone was identified by their shoes…

Funnily enough, my character did just throw a party. Ana is a perfectionist, wanting to give her boyfriend the best party ever…but she invites someone she is trying to impress, who takes over the party and turns it into something her boyfriend absolutely hates. It goes from a bonfire on the beach to a semi-formal gathering of all of the teachers at their boarding school. I think it is hilarious.

It sounds brilliant, although I’m sure Ana would disagree lol
Varad
A costume party where the guests are invited to dress as famous serial killers. Obviously, one of the guests is a real serial killer.

This sounds like something I’d really like to read!

I bet being a ghostwriter you’re really good at writing prompts. I truly struggle with them!
