Welcome to this year’s A-Z Blogging Challenge. My theme for this year is character prompts. Each day throughout April, you’ll find a new character prompt that relates to that day’s letter.
Day Twenty-One: U – Unrequited Love
Your character falls hard for someone who they can’t be with.
Why can’t they be with them? Are they married? Is the distance between them too far? Does the other person not feel the same way? Another reason?
How does your character feel knowing they can’t be with the person they want to be with?
Do they do anything to try and change their situation so they can be together?
I’d love to read some of the scenarios you create. Email them to me at debbie@myrandommusings.co.uk and I’ll share some of my favourites over the coming months here on the blog.

Una cried into Ursula’s shoulder. Her sister in spirit held her gently. She too remembered that sweet sorrow of knowing the Love of the Unattainable. There was only one way to be married to Yeshu and that was to take the Holy Orders, to wear the dress of chastity. Such commitment could be painful, but how much more so the burn of unrequited Love?

What a fab take on this – really different to what I was expecting! x

I wrote about a similar scenario sometime back. A magician who has to perform at the wedding of the girl who spurned him. But this is such a powerful topic with a lot of possibilities.

So many ways it can go!

After a quick bit of thinking I would base a story around around someone that it is unavailable to them. They were together when they were young went their seperate ways and catch up later on life. They both have families and it would be full of what ifs as part of story #bloggerclubuk

I love a romantic story, someone struggling to get the other person’s attention and then a happy ending where they finally get together #bloggerclubuk
