When I heard that Aby from You Baby Me Mummy had wrote a book about blogging, Blogs Change Lives, naturally I was curious. Aby is a hugely successful blogger who is always quick to share her knowledge so I figured this book would be a fab investment. Plus, it’s always nice to support fellow bloggers right?
Blogs Change Lives by Aby Moore: My Review
Blurb from The Back Cover
Trapped in depression, can one mum use a laptop to change her life?
When dark depression descends, and you find yourself consumed by its clutches, it can seem as though there is no way out. No way to get back to the person you used to be. All you want is to enjoy your new baby, to enjoy the new life you have found yourself living.
In this ever changing world of social media, sharing your life online can be the key to finding your freedom and independence. In this honest, practical and inspiring book, Aby dissects every aspect of blogging so everyone will know exactly how to create a blog that could change their life.
While weaving in her empowering personal story, she offers practical advice on aspects such as social media, content, branding, goal setting and much more.
She holds nothing back.
My Thoughts on The Book
I love how Blogs Change Lives is a mixture of Aby’s personal story and a practical guide. Getting the balance right between sharing a personal story and still writing a useful book is difficult but Aby nails it completely.
The book is written in a personable fashion that makes you feel like you’ve known Aby all of your life, and her advice is spot on. She shares examples from her own blogging journey highlighting how the actions she describes actually work, and you will finish this book feeling motivated to get out there and start a blog.
Conclusion and Rating
Blogs Change Lives is a fantastic read for anyone new to blogging or who is debating jumping in and starting a blog. For more seasoned bloggers, you’ll still find some things you can put into practice later on in your journey and there are a good few “aha” moments to be had through the book.
If I had to be nit picky, I would say the book needs a good editor, but if you can ignore that, you’ll learn so much from this book so it’s well worth a read. 4/5.

Thanks for the review, Debbie. I’m so curious about this book! Shame about the editor, though–I could have hooked her up.

This sounds like a really inspiring book for someone looking to start a blog. I do agree that blogging can be therapeutic. It has helped me through depression in the past and now it helps me to connect with my hobbies outside of my ‘mum life’.
