Welcome to the Blogger Spotlight Interview. This week we have Camilla from The Worrier Woman taking part.
If you would like to take part, and your blog is under six months old, or has been re-launched in the last six months, please email me randommusings29@gmail.com
1 Firstly, tell us a little bit about yourself
I’m Camilla, also known as The Worrier Woman. I am 32-years-old and my whole world is my husband, my 2.5-year-old son and my 7-year-old beagle boy.
I am originally from South Africa but I have lived in the UK for 11 years and now in Jersey, Channel Islands for the last 18 months.
I love chocolate and country music.
2 What is your blog’s name and what is it about?
My blog is called The Worrier Woman. As I am sure you have guessed, I worry a lot about everything…all the time.
My blog is a way of sharing these worries with everyone and hopefully showing others in the same situation that they aren’t alone. I also like to write about food, family holidays and products that I love.
3 Why did you decide to start a blog?
Since moving to Jersey for my husband’s job, I have been lucky enough not to work. My son attends nursery regularly so I found myself with a little extra time on my hands. I love writing and spend a lot of time on social media, so I thought, why not give it a go? I also hope that sharing some of my worries will help me to worry less.
4 Do you have any goals for your blog?
I am not really sure. At the moment I just want to get my name out there. I’m really proud of what I have written so far…although I am only a month in…and I want people to read what I have written.
So for now that’s my goal. I guess I would also like to start working with some brands that I am passionate about.
5 Tell us one random fact about you
Many years ago I was a personal trainer and sports massage therapist. I still have a keen interest in keeping fit and general health & wellbeing.
6 What is the best piece of blog related advice you have received so far?
Well I nearly gave up after the first week and Emma from Island Living 365 said to me that the first 3 months are known for being the hardest. So that is what I keep reminding myself of, when I have hard days.
7 What is your favourite thing about blogging?
I genuinely enjoy writing so that part is fun. I have had a few comments on posts from total strangers relating to what I have written about. That makes my heart really happy and motivates me to keep going.
8 Is there anything you would do differently if you were starting over knowing what you know now?
Mmmm I’m not sure. I did quite a lot of research before I started so feel that I have made the right decisions from a technical point of view. I can’t quite believe how many bloggers there are. I mean I knew there were a few but gosh it’s unbelievable.
9 Anything else you’d like to share with us?
Thanks so much for inviting me to take part in this series. It’s very early days for me and I really appreciate the support.
10 Where can we find you? (blog link and links to any social media)
