Now over to Aby:
1 Firstly, tell us a little bit about yourself
Hi, I’m Aby, I’m married and have an *almost* 5-year-old daughter and two small (and very yappy!) dogs. We are living in France for the next 4 1/2 years which has been a bit of an adjustment.
I write the blogs You Baby Me Mummy and The Mamapreneur Revolution. I started my blog when my daughter was 5 months old. I had PND, was being treated badly by my employer and most of my friends had ‘disappeared’. I had no idea about blogging, but just wanted to record our special family moments.
I earned money within 4 months of starting and within 15 months I was earning more than I ever had done in my life. I now teach other mums to leverage their positives so they turn their blogs into their businesses and give their lives more freedom. Blogging literally changed my life and I love helping others use blogging to change theirs.
2 Tell us a little bit about your books
Very much singular for me. I’ve only written one book which I’ve just self-published. My book, Blogs Change Lives, is a practical guide for anyone who wants to build an impactful blog. One that not only impacts on their readers’ lives but the creator’s life too. I also wanted to share my story and so I weaved my story in and out of the building blocks you will need to take your blog from hobby to business.
3 Where do you find your inspiration for your books?
I think I would struggle to find inspiration if I wasn’t my story. I knew that I wanted to celebrate blogs and this seemed like the best way to do it.
4 What, for you, is the best thing about being a writer?
For me it’s the fact that sharing my story can help people. Seeing my book in the hands of other people on social media is really cool too.
5 And the worst?
I absolutely hate editing posts!
6 If you could have any super power, what would it be and why?
I would love to be able to heal illness and disease, wouldn’t that be amazing. It breaks my heart to see sick children and I can’t imagine anything more fabulous than being able to rid them of their illness.
7 Do you have any tips for anyone wanting to write their first book?
Just get started. Break down the number of words you need to write each day, by figuring out when you would like to publish your book. Then put those words on your to-do list every day, just like they’re a ‘must-do’ task.
8 Tell us one random fact about you
I hate bumpy things!
9 Who is your favourite author?
Well I used to love chick lit and for the last few years I’ve only read business books. My two favourite authors were Paige Toon and Lyndsey Kelk. I really need to start reading non-work books again!
10 And your favourite book(s)?
Apart from the chick lit, my favourite book is probably The One Thing.
11 What book are you reading right now?
If I’m honest I have about 4 books started plus an audio book! The audio book is Thank You Economy – Gary Vaynerchuk
12 Where is your favourite place to write?
Well, as a busy mama, juggling ALL THE BALLS my favourite place is anywhere silent!
13 Do you prefer to write in silence or do you have a writing soundtrack?
I used to hate silence when I was working, but since becoming a mama I relish every silent second.
14 What can we expect from you next?
I am currently creating an annual planner, which will be released at the end of the year.
15 Anything else you’d like to share with us?
I have a great free Facebook group for bloggers if you’d like to join: Mamapreneur Revolution.

Hmm…thought-provoking interview. I’m always fascinated by writers who make a lot of money from their blogs–how do they do it?
I’ve chosen not to monetize mine, but it still arouses my curiosity every time I read a post like this. I’ll have to check out Aby’s book.
