5 Simple Things To Do Today To Boost Your Mood

Do you ever have one of those days where you just feel a bit “meh” for no reason? Sometimes it’s because we’re just bored of the same routine, sometimes it can be stress related. Either way, here are five things you can easily do today to boost your mood and get yourself out of your funk.

Exercise

Exercise bikes

Exercising releases endorphins, the happy hormone, and will instantly boost your mood. It can also be a good way to relieve stress and tension as you can out those feelings into your workout.

 

Watch Something Funny

This could be a movie, a TV show or even a YouTube video. Try to find something that’s easy to watch and light hearted and let yourself switch off and laugh along.

 

Get Your Hair or Nails Done

This isn’t so much about how your hair or nails will look when they’re done (although let’s face it, it’ll be a nice bonus). It’s more about taking some time to pamper yourself and relax. If this isn’t your thing, maybe try a massage instead.

 

Read Something Inspirational

Whether this is aspirational quotes or a book that gets you fired up, something like this can get you ready to go kick ass which will definitely boost your mood.

 

Go Out for Lunch

Call a friend, family member or significant other and go out for lunch (or dinner, coffee etc. – maybe even just a nice walk). You will have a chance to get your stress off your chest and catching up with someone else and hearing about their lives will give you a chance to forget your stresses and focus on something else.

    Whenever I face something big (like an exam), I would do my nails and get dressed up, even if that wasn’t required for the activity. It made me feel better. Great advice!
