Welcome to the Blogger Spotlight Interview. This week we have Richarda from Richarda’s Journal taking part.
If you would like to take part, and your blog is under six months old, or has been re-launched in the last six months, please email me randommusings29@gmail.com
1 Firstly, tell us a little bit about yourself
I am Richarda, twenty-years-old, born in Romania, raised in Italy and currently living in London. I wish to travel around the world, like everyone, I guess.
I have lots of imperfections, including laziness, but I hope to have good qualities too.
I’m obsessed with makeup (am I the only one?) and I’d like to become a professional makeup artist one day. Probably this is my 2018 main resolution.
I love writing and even though English is not my first language, I’m always trying to improve.
2 What is your blog’s name and what is it about?
My blog is called Richarda’s Journal.
It is a personal challenge as well as a place where I write down my ideas and my experiences. I call it a challenge because I don’t often accomplish what I want to do, while here I want to challenge myself and see how hard I’ll be able to work.
On my blog you can find anything beauty & lifestyle related, if interested as well as travel posts where I share and recommend (or not) my experience.
A fun fact is that all my posts are written both in English and Italian so that I could be more helpful.
3 Why did you decide to start a blog?
The main reason is that I love writing – I like typing on my keyboard and I even love the sound of it. Moreover, in this way I get to express all my feelings, my ideas and whatever pops in my head. It’s like a feeling of freedom.
4 Do you have any goals for your blog?
The first thing that comes in my mind is that I would like to create a community around my blog from people all over the world who are not afraid to leave a comment or to share their opinion.
I’d like people to understand my point of view and I really want us to celebrate and support each other.
5 Tell us one random fact about you
I like rain.
Firstly, you can sleep better when it’s raining; on the other hand, it helps me write.
I am at peace with the sound of the rain.
6 What is the best piece of blog related advice you have received so far?
“Don’t give up” is one of the best, but also “don’t be afraid of people judging you, it’ll help you grow up” is one of my favourites.
7 What is your favourite thing about blogging?
The community. I have recently started to use Twitter to promote my blog and I am amazed by all the support around the blog community. Everyone is being so nice and reading different blogs makes me open my mind.
It’s unbelievable how talented people are.
8 Is there anything you would do differently if you were starting over knowing what you know now?
Probably. I’d be more consistent with my updates from the beginning.
Slowly we are getting there and I’m trying to post three times per week.
9 Anything else you’d like to share with us?
I can share my personal advice: if you’re wondering whether or not to start a new blog, please do it. I’ll be hard but you’ll get high satisfaction from it.
Plus, you’ll get to know a lot of people and who knows, a new friendship might start.
10 Where can we find you? (blog link and links to any social media)
My blog, Instagram, Twitter, and Tumblr.
Do not hesitate to say hi, it would mean a lot xx
