Welcome to the Blogger Spotlight Interview. This week we have Tracy from View from the Beach Chair taking part.
If you would like to take part, and your blog is under six months old, or has been re-launched in the last six months, please email me randommusings29@gmail.com
1 Firstly, tell us a little bit about yourself
My name is Tracy and I have been a lifeguard since I was 15. I grew up around the water and love all things beach.
When I am not at the beach I am a teacher. I am a wife of 3 years to my husband (we married later in life) and mom to a daughter whom we adopted in February.
2 What is your blog’s name and what is it about?
My blog is View from the Beach Chair. It is about life from my seat. As a foster mom, teacher, wife, mother, my take on life might be a little different than others.
3 Why did you decide to start a blog?
I decided to start a blog as I had a lot of people tell me I need to write a book of all my adventures. I spent 14 years working at a camp and that lends itself to a lot of fun stories. I was a child life therapist before I went into the classroom as a teacher. I have only just begun to put them to paper.
4 Do you have any goals for your blog?
I am still pretty new. My goal is to increase my traffic and hopefully make some people smile along the way.
5 Tell us one random fact about you
One random fact is I do not like bananas.
6 What is the best piece of blog related advice you have received so far?
Linkys – I had no idea what they were and I stumbled upon one on Twitter and I was hooked. I am able to blog stalk some amazing writers and be encouraged by their journey.
7 What is your favourite thing about blogging?
It is all mine. No one to conform too. No one to try to impress. It is who I am.
8 Is there anything you would do differently if you were starting over knowing what you know now?
Yes. I would pay for a hosting site right off the bat. I started with a free blog and then switched over to a hosting site with my own domain name. It was a lot of work to transfer things. I cut and pasted most of my work.
9 Anything else you’d like to share with us?
I have only begun to get the stories out. Stay with me, for the adventure continues.
10 Where can we find you? (blog link and links to any social media)
My blog, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
