I love the summer – I was definitely born in the wrong country. I love the heat and the way everyone just seems happier when the sun is shining. Even though I absolutely adore Christmas, I would have to say that summer is my favourite season.
Today I’m sharing a little poem about summer days.
Summer Days
Sun dancing on the flowers and the grass,
Umbrellas away, the rain shall finally pass,
Men with their shirts off grilling meat,
Many people gather, enjoying the heat,
Energy levels rising like the warmth of the sun,
Relatives come round and all have fun.
Days are longer with hot, sticky nights,
And in gardens all over there are water fights,
You already know that summer is the best,
So sit down, relax and have a good rest.
What is your favourite season and why? Let me know in the comments 🙂

Summer is my favourite, but autumn is a close second. If only it weren’t so short and didn’t warn of the approaching winter.
I hear you about being born in the wrong place. Still hoping to move to Thailand one of these days.

I like autumn too because of the colours in nature. Thailand would be fab!

I do love all of the season, but lately I’ve been loving summers more and more!! I’m not sure I’m ready to give up fall and winter yet though…

I’d be happy to give up winter as long as we could keep Christmas haha x

I hate summer the worst out of all the seasons. I cannot stand to be hot and I get positively sunburned if the sun touches me for more than 2 minutes. I must be part vampire. #AnythingGoes

Lovely poem. I am not a huge fan – I like the light but not the heat and much prefer Spring and Autumn #AnythingGoes

Lovely words but I’m a winter gal. I like dark evenings and warm clothes. #bloggerclubuk

I am so not a fan of the heat, but there are good things about summer, and your poem captures many of them!

This is lovely. Unfortunately heat/ direct sunlight and me don’t really get along though. Autumn is my favourite season! #AnythingGoes

Lovely poem. If Christmas was a season that would be my favourite, but if we have to stick to the four official ones then it is autumn for me. Still get some lovely sunny days, the trees start to change colour, hot chocolates are back on the menu, just love it #bloggerclubuk

Autumn is my second favourite and I totally agree about Christmas!

We are having a great summer weather wise here in Northern Ireland and our family is so busy it looks like holidays this year are not going to happen for us so I guess my favourite this year will be this hot Summer.

Hmm I’m more for the cooler months. Perhaps Autumn may be my favourite with all it’s colour. #bloggerclubuk
