Welcome to the Blogger Spotlight Interview. This week we have Sophie from The Modern Scribe taking part.
If you would like to take part, and your blog is under six months old, or has been re-launched in the last six months, please email me randommusings29@gmail.com I also have a series, The Blogger’s Corner, for blogs older than six months too.
Now over to Sophie:
1 Firstly, tell us a little bit about yourself
I am an author living in the UK with my husband and three home schooled children, with the beginnings of a grass fed farmstead in the back garden.
I have worked in many fields and gained qualifications in hairdressing, childcare and photography, though none of it compares to being a writer.
I’m currently undertaking a BA(Hons) in creative writing, working on my second book in The Nephilium Lands series, and designing book covers on the side.
My debut novel ‘Mage: The Guardian’s Oath’ is available now.
2 What is your blog’s name and what is it about?
The Modern Scribe. I’m a firm believer in using the written word to touch the hearts of people all over the world. Everything is learned through reading and writing, and I hope to use my blog to share a spark of that passion to encourage others to find the joy that comes from doing just that. If everyone read and wrote a little more, the world would be a much better place.
3 Why did you decide to start a blog?
I felt it would be a great way to reach out to those with interests like mine or those who have those interests but just don’t know it yet. Everyone needs a reprieve from the hardships of life. Everyone needs an adventure. If I can help them find that, then my job is done.
4 Do you have any goals for your blog?
Just to reach and touch as many hearts as possible and hopefully make some new friends along the way.
5 Tell us one random fact about you
I’m a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints 🙂
6 What is the best piece of blog related advice you have received so far?
Linkys! I’ve reached so many people that way and found wonderful people, too.
7 What is your favourite thing about blogging?
I enjoy the interaction with others. I love the comments and getting to see what others think and seeing I’m not alone in my efforts.
8 Is there anything you would do differently if you were starting over knowing what you know now?
I don’t think so. I feel I’ve done okay for a beginner.
9 Where can we find you? (blog link and links to any social media)
