I didn’t realise until I started to think about this post that I’m really not materialistic at all. In fact, I wanted to share twenty things with you, but the fact is, I really can’t think of twenty “things”. I mean I could have if I’d included fifteen books, but that’s another post entirely.
So instead, I’m sharing five things I’m loving right now (in no particular order):
The Unwind Series by Neal Shusterman
I always enjoy books with a unique element and I am so into this series. I’ve almost finished the last book and I am going to be gutted when it’s finished.
The series revolves around the concept of unwinding – a process where every single part of the human body can be used for transplants. While in theory this sounds like a good thing, in the book, parents of teens between thirteen and eighteen can choose to have their children unwound without them actually having to be dead.
The series centres around the struggles of teens whose parents have chosen this path for them, and are on the run from authorities to avoid being unwound.

Call the Midwife
I realise I’m years behind this trend, but to be honest, I didn’t think this show would be something I would really like. I tried it one night on Netflix when I couldn’t find anything I really fancied and by the end of the first episode I was totally hooked. The series follows a team of midwives in 1950’s England and it’s really quite eye opening. I have found myself getting really angry at the way women were treated back then so many times.
You can check it out here or on Netflix.
Estee Lauder Double Wear Eyeliner
For years I’ve used gel eyeliners because I’ve never found a pencil that doesn’t drag. A then I discovered this one. it goes on smooth like a gel, but unlike a gel, it doesn’t bleed and smudge. I love the Onyx one, but there is a massive range of colours to suit all tastes.

The Weather
At the risk of being a total Brit and talking about the weather, how amazing has this heatwave been? I love the sun and I’m really enjoying having sunny days after sunny days.
Orange Is the New Black
I’ve loved this series since the very first season and the new one is no exception. Moving away from Lichfield and into max, this season promises to be more gritty than any of the others.
You can check it out here or watch it on Netflix.
