As August comes to a close, you might well be looking back over your year and thinking it’s a write off. Maybe you haven’t achieved everything you wanted to achieve in your personal or professional life, or maybe you just feel like it’s been a year where you’ve been stuck in a rut.
The year doesn’t have to be a write off, even if you nodded along to the above scenarios. It’s never to late to turn a year around and make it the best year ever.
How?
Well that’s simple. The first step to achieving anything is simply to start. So if you had something you planned on starting in January, and you still haven’t made a start on it, now it the time. Don’t put it off until next year. When you continually put off doing things, they begin to feel like something that’s not important. And if they were important enough to you to be on your goal’s list in the first place, then they’re important.
By starting out on achieving your goal, you are taking the hardest step. Sure you might not get as much done a you would have originally liked to, but you’ll get something done. And suddenly, instead of being an unproductive year, the year turns around and becomes the year you started to change your life.
It is always nice to end the year on a positive note to bring you into the next year in the right frame of mind, and what better way to finish on a positive note than to get something started that you had almost resigned yourself to not getting around to at all?
Make this moment your pivotal moment and turn this year into a damned good year. It’s never too late to make something good come from something not so good.
What goal have you put off that you’re going to make a start on by the end of the year? Let me know in the comments 🙂
