If you’re a writer who is looking to get a traditional publishing deal for their book, the first thing you will need is an agent. Getting an agent isn’t an easy task by any means, and one of the hardest things is nailing your pitch letter and getting them to actually read your manuscript.
With hundreds of queries a day, it’s easy to understand why agents can only read the ones that speak to them. So how do you do that without sounding cheesy or gimmicky? You make it easy for them. You tell them everything they need to know in a clear and concise format and leave them needing to know more about your story.

It took me forever to “nail” the pitch or query letter. Always nice when you start getting more requests than rejections.
It’s so hard at first isn’t it! It’s the synopsis that gets me every time, I hate it!
Thanks for sharing this really helpful information X #bloggerclubuk
This is so useful. Many great writers miss out because of their pitch.
Thank you 🙂
In another life, I would do this very thing. Maybe I will in a future life when much less on my plate. Still love how generous you are with your knowledge and expertise #AnythngGoes #BloggerClubUK
