  1. Wow. This sounds like a really powerful book with a lot of social commentary…in a time when we especially need social commentary.

I have to admit, I’m not a big fan of dystopian fiction, because I find it too depressing. But I loved The Road and Eddie Generous’s Radio Run, so I’m willing to keep an open mind.

    • It’s really powerful and a great read too – like with an actual storyline that carries the message without it feeling like that’s all it’s about if you know what I mean. I know what you mean about the depressing side of dystopian fiction, but I found this one handled that well – society is changing (and not for the better) but it’s not all doom and gloom and the world isn’t over done.

  2. goodness me this sounds like an emotional rollercoaster of a read, a dystopia a bit like Margeret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale perhaps? Thanks for the review. pen x

  3. Our kids are being brainwashed today … they just don’t know it: fed a diet of superficial nonsense and aspiration guff and they fall for it. No interest in real news, so fake news prevails.#BloggerClubUK

  4. Books and shows like these are great but unfortunately they usually trigger me so this wouldn’t be a book I would read but it sounds like a book that should be on the best seller list 🙂 #anythinggoes
