Welcome to day seven of the A-Z Challenge – G is for the Gone Series.
My theme for this year is “The A-Z of My Favourite Books and Authors”. Each day (except Sunday) will feature a book or author whose title or first or last name starts with the corresponding letter of the alphabet.
The Gone series by Michael Grant is a series about a place where everyone over the age of fifteen disappears over night and the kids left behind have to deal with the fall out. The series comprises of six books, and it’s one of the few series’ I’ve read where at least one of the books isn’t just fluff and filler. There’s always loads going on and the cast of characters feel realistic, and each one has a distinct personality and voice.
Have you read the Gone series? Did you enjoy it? Let me know in the comments 🙂

Haven’t read any of these – thanks
Sounds a yoor read X #anythinggoes
Sounds amazing — thanks for the recommendation, I’ve added it to my Goodreads TBR 🙂 It reminds me a bit of “Jimmy Neutron” when the aliens took away all the adults… Fun!

Enjoy!
I have not read them however the story line sounds familiar so I must have read a review perhaps.
Oh maybe
My book choice for the local book club this month was an Hourly History short bio of Alexander Hamilton. Considering Hamilton’s brilliance at such a young age, Michael Grant chose a realistic plotline for his series. I have now added his books to my TBT list. Thank you for the recommendation.
You’re welcome, hope you enjoy it!
These sound like really interesting reads. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks 🙂
I had the 1st book at one point and read some of it, but I can’t remember if I finished it.
I couldn’t put it down for the whole series!
Oooh, that’s scary. I seem to recall that plot in something else… It was like an episode of a TV show or something.
I’ve watched a show based on a similar plot too
Definitely sounds like something I’d enjoy…off to check it out.
