Welcome to day twelve of the A-Z Challenge – L is for The Liar’s Room.
My theme for this year is “The A-Z of My Favourite Books and Authors”. Each day (except Sunday) will feature a book or author whose title or first or last name starts with the corresponding letter of the alphabet.
The Liar’s Room by Simon Lelic is a book that I literally couldn’t put down. I started it one night, and I ended up sitting up half of the night to finish it because I just had to know how it all turned out. The two main characters in the book are both extremely well written and there’s something about them both that keep you interested in them and want to know more about their stories.
It’s a rollercoaster ride through the past to find out how these two characters are linked and what lies each of them are hiding and why. It’s definitely a book I would recommend to anyone who enjoys a good psychological thriller.
Have you read The Liar’s Room? Did you enjoy it? Let me know in the comments 🙂

Thank you for your comment on my blog. I haven’t read this book, I had to stop reading print books because of health issues. Sounds good though!

I’m sure there’ll be an eBook and audio book version too
I love books that grab you like that…!
(And hearing about new ones that do it.)
🙂
Me too 🙂
I’ve not read that one but I love books that are real page-turners. It’s a true skill to be able to write books like that!
Thanks for your visit; you’re invited back!
It really is.
I’m making my way through the list, so if I haven’t dropped by yet, I’ll be there before April is out.
I haven’t read it yet. Always loved thrillers and crime. Adding this to my TBR. Thank you!

Thanks for visiting my blog. I see you are trying to visit everyone – that is ambitious with over 600 people – more than 20 a day! I’m shooting for five or more and that takes a while. Good luck.
I say I’ll get through everyone every year – this is the first year I’ve actually managed it haha

Operation Awesome. Our A to Z 2019 theme is the writing journey.
It’s a fab read for sure
I was interested until you said psychological thriller – too scary for me!
It’s not scary – it’s a thriller, not a horror
I love finding out about good books to read. And, especially psychological thrillers. I’ll add it to my reading list. I do prefer e-books and audiobooks, to save a few trees and bookshelf space. Thanks for the review. I appreciate it. Visiting you from the A to Z Challenge.
I spend all day looking at a screen so eBooks tend to feel too much like I’m still working
This book is a double for today since the author’s last name starts with an L. 😉
I hadn’t even noticed that haha
I like thrillers. Havent read this one though…will definitely pick up on your recommendation.
