Welcome to day twenty-three of the A-Z Challenge – W is for The Wicked Heart.
My theme for this year is “The A-Z of My Favourite Books and Authors”. Each day (except Sunday) will feature a book or author whose title or first or last name starts with the corresponding letter of the alphabet.
Even as a tween I had a love for the horror genre, and one of my favourite authors then was Christopher Pike. Today’s book is one of his – The Wicked Heart. The book follows Dusty, a teen killer who really doesn’t want to kill, but feels he has no choice. Follow him on his journey as he fights his inner demons and tries to stop himself giving in to his wicked heart.
Have you read The Wicked Heart? Did you enjoy it? Let me know in the comments 🙂

Horror is so NOT my thing – won’t be reading this one I’m afraid. I get nightmares – I think my imagination is just too active for stuff like this.

I think you’d be ok with this one, it’s aimed at young teens so not overly scary

Sounds interesting! #AnythingGoes

I have not read The Wicked Heart. I am not a big fan of horror, but I did read a few Steven King books when I was much younger. Sounds interesting, though.

This is a teen book so obviously not very scary, but a good read still
Veronica Lee
Nope, I haven’t but it does sound interesting!

I remember Christopher Pike from my teens as well. I didn’t read many of his books (I was reading L.J.Smith, author of Vampire Diaries back then) and don’t know this one but I do remember he was popular with young readers back in the day. #AnythingGoes

I loved him. I read a few Anne Rice vampire books back then but I wasn’t really into vampires.
