May’s Blog On was my second ever blogging conference, and I approached it much differently to my first one. Although I enjoyed my first Blog On, I have to say this time around I enjoyed it much more. I don’t know if it was because I did things differently, or if it’s because I wasn’t quite as terrified this time around (maybe a combination of the two).
What I Did Differently
At my first Blog On, I attended four out of the five sessions. This time around, I didn’t go to any of them. I had a vague idea of some sessions I might go to (I really wanted to go to the podcasting one, but I managed to miss the start time and I didn’t dare sneak in late), but in the end, I decided against them.
I enjoyed the day much more chatting to the brands and the other bloggers than I did in the sessions. Don’t get me wrong, the sessions were good and I did learn a few things, but I really enjoyed the social side more than the learning side.
I met some new faces, people who I know from their blogs or social media, reconnected with a few old faces and met some people who were completely new to me. Blog On is a fantastic environment to chat and everyone is really friendly and welcoming which makes for a lovely, relaxed atmosphere.
Would I Go Again?
In a heart beat, assuming it comes back to Manchester next May (September’s one is too far away for me unfortunately).
The Goody Bag
You can’t mention Blog On without mentioning two things:
1 The friendly people, who I’ve already mentioned above
2 The huge goody bag
There is sooooo much stuff included and the goody bag alone is worth the price of the ticket (£55).
Any Regrets?
Apart from the session I missed, the only regret I have is not staying over the extra night and going to the after party.
I was going to do shout outs to the fab people I met, but I know I’ll end up missing someone, so instead, I’m just going to finish up by saying a big thank you to Laura and the team for organising the event and a big shout out to everyone who I managed to catch up with or meet. You guys all rock 🙂
If you’re thinking of going to a Blog On, do it, you won’t regret it. Everyone is lovely and yes, you will need a big suitcase (it’s really not a joke and everyone really does bring one haha).

It sounds like you had a blast and the ticket price is definitely reasonable. There’s no bloggers events anywhere near my place and I often wonder what it would be like to attend one – but not enough to pay an airfare, accommodation and entry!
Debbie, My Random Musings
Yeah I don’t think I’d be too keen if I had to fly halfway across the world to go to one haha
Sally

I’ve always fancied BlogOn but as it’s always miles away and I’ve got the ticket price plus hotels and days off work to think of I’ve never made it. One of these days though I’ll just bite the bullet and do it. #BloggerClubUK

The September one this year is in the Reading area if that’s any closer to you, might be a good time to take the plunge
