I didn’t set an official target for how many books I wanted to read in 2019, but I usually aim for around fifty books, and last year, I read over sixty so I am happy with how many I got through. It’s just a shame that it seems that for every book I manage to read, I buy two more and my to be read list gets longer rather than shorter.
Below is every book I read in 2019 and my rating out of ten for each book if you’re looking for some good books to get your teeth into. The books are in no particular order.

I just finished This is going to Hurt. I LOVED it so much! Laughed out loud a lot. Was it you that told me about the ‘Alice’ in Go ask Alice? Not a real diary or run away – an old religious lady….Ha! I never knew. If it wasn’t you then fyi https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beatrice_Sparks Crazy, huh? #AnythingGoes

No it wasn’t me, I didn’t know. Been and had a look at the article and to be honest, it’s kind of nice to know it wasn’t real, although there are real life versions of Alice everywhere I guess.

Some good recommendations – must read some of these! If I ever manage to make time to read that is!! #anythinggoes
Debbie, My Random Musings
Hope you enjoy any you get around to 🙂
Barbara Mojica
What an interesting assortment of titles!
Debbie, My Random Musings
They kept me out of mischief haha
Joanne
We definitely have very different taste in books though I did really like the Matched series!
Debbie, My Random Musings
I love a good dystopian series
Shelley Whittaker
So many great books on this list! I loved This is Going to Hurt and I have Hotel K on my bookshelf ready to read (it has been there for at least 5 years – whoops!). Given you rated The Rumor 10/10, I think I need to add that to my list #AnythingGoes
Debbie, My Random Musings
The Rumour is a must read!
Catherine Holmes
Wow – what a list. How good to see the covers too. So creative and I imagine really vital choices in the marketing mix #AnythingGoes
Debbie, My Random Musings
I have to admit to judging books by their covers lol
Michele Morin
That’s quite a discipline, keeping track and then posting about ALL of them!

I loved This is going to Hurt. So funny. Can’t wait for the series. You know Go Ask Alice was written by this religious woman as a morality tale? I was stunned when I learnt that. She wrote a heap of them. I read it as a teen in the early 80’s
Debbie, My Random Musings
I have heard that about Go Ask Alice. The book doesn’t really feel like it’s written by a teenager, but I definitely think whoever wrote it has at the very least dabbled in drugs themselves.
Shelley Whittaker
I can’t believe how many books you managed to read! I absolutely loved This Is Going To Hurt and have recommended it to many, many others! #anythinggoes

Thats a pretty impressive list. I just finished The Institute by King not that long ago. I liked it a lot better than Revival, which was the one of his I had most recently read before it. I really need to find more time for reading and maybe set a goal for the year to help me do that #anythinggoes
Debbie, My Random Musings
I liked The Institute better than Revival too
