Now over to Victor.
1 Firstly, tell us a little bit about yourself
I am a licensed and ordained minister, a certified nutritionist and fitness expert, and I am currently pursuing my master’s degree in psychology. I have a passion to help teach others the importance of overall health and wellness.
2 Tell us a little bit about your book
Overcomer is a book that gives a detailed and deep insight on the struggles that many face with mental health and how to overcome those struggles by changing one’s perspective about themselves and their environment. It is a book that will help one to discover their true self, to see with new eyes, and awaken to the infinite possibilities that lie before them.
3 Where do you find your inspiration for your books?
My love for people is my inspiration. Each one of us is writing our stories daily by the choices we make, and how we respond to life. Every obstacle we face in life is a learning opportunity that we can grow from. I wanted to share from the lessons I have learned that could help others who are writing their stories to overcome and live a fulfilled life.
4 What, for you, is the best thing about being a writer?
Writing is liberating and feeds my soul. Having the ability to create and to share your creative experience is rewarding.
5 And the worst?
Writer’s block is the worst. I usually find something to do that is calming and will awaken my creative juices and get them flowing, when that happens.
6 If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
Since Aquaman is my favorite Superhero, I would have to say breathing underwater and swimming at 150 mph would be awe inspiring. I love the ocean and to explore the beauty of the underwater world would be majestic.
7 Do you have any tips for anyone wanting to write their first book?
Don’t try to sound like anyone else but yourself. Be unique, and that is where one will draw their inspiration from. Also be consistent and persistent. Just start off committing to writing for 30 minutes a day, and it will eventually grow into hours, and one will find themselves lost in the creative writing process.
8 Tell us one random fact about you
Disney World is my favorite place to visit, and I cry watching Disney Movies
9 Who is your favourite author?
Napoleon Hill is my favorite. I have read all his books, and I study them regularly.
10 And your favourite book(s)?
My favorite books are Think & Grow Rich, The Law of Success, Awaken the Giant Within, The Magic of Believing, Chop Wood Carry Water, The Power Is Within You, The Anatomy of Peace and The Four Agreements.
11 What books are you reading right now?
Becoming Supernatural by Dr. Joe Dispenza
12 Where is your favourite place to write?
At my desk, later in the day, when everyone is sleeping.
13 Do you prefer to write in silence, or do you have a writing soundtrack?
Usually in silence, but I find it very beneficial if I listen to classical music while writing as well.
14 What can we expect from you next?
The current book I am working on is The Mystery of Death, which is about how to understand it and cope with the loss of a loved one.
15 Anything else you’d like to share with us?
We can’t become agents of peace until our hearts are at peace.
