Welcome to day sixteen of the A-Z Challenge and today’s letter is P.
The A-Z Challenge involves blogging every day except Sundays and each day corresponds to a letter of the alphabet. The daily posts most relate to that letter and can all have a theme or can be totally random. My theme this year is Recommended Reading, where I will share three to five books for each letter that I have really enjoyed and think more people should read.
I have tried to have a mix of authors and genres but you will notice some real favourites occurring more than once. The posts do contain affiliate links (don’t worry, they don’t affect you in any way but if you want to know more, check the end of the post). Below you will find today’s chosen books:
Perfect People by Peter James
This is another book I have read over and over again. The main characters go to a fertility clinic after losing a baby and learning that they carry a rare gene that makes them enable to have girls. They go to the clinic as it offers designer babies – choices you can make prior to conception to choose your baby’s physical features and gene make up. The couple only want to ensure they have a boy so that he isn’t in danger of getting the deadly virus. But the doctor at the clinic has other ideas. To read the blurb or to buy, click here.
The Pupil by Ros Carne
I love a good legal thriller and while this one didn’t have as much focus on the cases as I initially expected it to have I still got into it quickly. The book had a good, creepy feeling that the pupil was just too perfect and the tension as we wait for this to come to the fore front kept me turning the pages. Poster Boy by N J Crosskey
Poster Boy is a really good look at how people can be brain washed into believing what someone wants them to believe and it shows both sides of the coin here, with the ruling government and the conspiracy theorists both using underhand tricks to get their way. To read the blurb or buy the book, click here.
The Paris Apartment by Lucy Foley
I love Lucy Foley and each of her books seems to be better than the one before. The Paris Apartment is full of twists and each of the characters seems shifty for one reason or another. I couldn’t stop reding this until i knew what was going on. To read the blurb or buy the book, click here.

Joanne
I really enjoyed the Paris Apartment! I haven’t read any of the other ones you’ve recommended; though they do sound good.
Debbie, My Random Musings
I hope you enjoy them if you give them a go
