For this year’s A-Z Challenge, I have decided to do “An A-Z of Sarah J Maas characters”. The characters will be from the ACOTAR (A Court of Thorns and Roses) and ToG (Throne of Glass) series’ because when I first started researching this idea, I hadn’t read all of the CC (Crescent City) series.
Each day I will focus on one character from ACOTAR, TOG, or both, and I will share things such as an image of how I imagine them to look, what I like or dislike about the character, and how they affect the story.
I will try my best not to have any spoilers and if there are any, they will only be small ones – if I judge this differently to you then I apologise in advance.
Without further ado, let’s get to today’s post – Day Sixteen, P.
ToG – P is for Petrah
Petrah Blue Blood is the heir to the Blue Blood clan of witches. She is someone who I think will be a fair ruler and who will rule her coven without the need for them fearing her.
One of the first major scenes involving Petrah is when the Yellow Legs heir attacks her and her dragon and she falls. Certain death is rushing to meet her, when Manon and Abrazos burst into action and save Petrah. This is one of the first times we see Manon’s humanity coming through and it’s a nice scene. Petrah is grateful to Manon and recognises that she owes her a life debt which she takes seriously.
*Spoiler alert* During the final battle, when Petrah arrives with her Blue Bloods to help Manon and by extension Aelin, I might have cheered a little bit. Petrah always did what she thought was right and I was pleased that she saw that the alliance her mother had made with the Valg princes wasn’t the right choice and she wasn’t afraid to stand up for what she believed in and fight for the cause.
Do you like today’s choice(s)? Who would you have chosen for this letter? Let me know in the comments.

Interesting. I haven’t read these books, so I don’t have much to offer here.
