For this year’s A-Z Challenge, I have decided to do “An A-Z of Sarah J Maas characters”. The characters will be from the ACOTAR (A Court of Thorns and Roses) and ToG (Throne of Glass) series’ because when I first started researching this idea, I hadn’t read all of the CC (Crescent City) series.
Each day I will focus on one character from ACOTAR, TOG, or both, and I will share things such as an image of how I imagine them to look, what I like or dislike about the character, and how they affect the story.
I will try my best not to have any spoilers and if there are any, they will only be small ones – if I judge this differently to you then I apologise in advance.
Without further ado, let’s get to today’s post – Day Thirteen, M.
ACOTAR – M is for Mor
A member of Rhys’s Inner Circle and his cousin, Mor (short for Morrigan) is brave and head strong and loyal. She is quick to befriend Feyre and I think once Feyre got to know Mor and saw how she trusted Rhys, it made her more likely to see the good in Rhys and get to know him properly.
I think we have a lot more to see from Mor, including *Spoiler alert* her coming out to the rest of the Inner Circle (only Feyre knows at the minute) and I think there is going to be something between her and Emerie.
ToG – M is for Manon
Manon is a witch who is second in line to rule the Black Beak clan. She currently runs her own powerful coven, the Thirteen, and she rides her dragon, Abraxos (who you will have met if you read my A post). There is no doubt that Manon is ruthless and will always choose to go down fighting, but when we first meet her, she has no compassion, no emotions at all, but as we get to her know her, we definitely see a different side to her.
Choosing Abraxos is, I believe, the first glimmer of us seeing who Manon could be. Then there’s her unlikely friendship with Elide where we really see her being compassionate and starting to think in terms of her emotions as well as logically. Manon’s character development is by far one of the best of the series and I loved the parts featuring her and her Thirteen.
Do you like today’s choice(s)? Who would you have chosen for this letter? Let me know in the comments.

When this challenge is over I might be able to talk with my niece about this series even though I haven’t read it.
Ronel Janse van Vuuren
Manon sounds like an interesting character.

Debbie, My Random Musings
She’s one of the best characters in the series imo
Lydia C. Lee
What a fun exercise this is. Manon always makes me think of Manon des Sources….which I guess ages me!
