For this year’s A-Z Challenge, I have decided to do “An A-Z of Sarah J Maas characters”. The characters will be from the ACOTAR (A Court of Thorns and Roses) and ToG (Throne of Glass) series’ because when I first started researching this idea, I hadn’t read all of the CC (Crescent City) series.
Each day I will focus on one character from ACOTAR, TOG, or both, and I will share things such as an image of how I imagine them to look, what I like or dislike about the character, and how they affect the story.
I will try my best not to have any spoilers and if there are any, they will only be small ones – if I judge this differently to you then I apologise in advance.
Without further ado, let’s get to today’s post – Day Twenty Two, V.
ToG – V is for Vernon
Vernon is the legal guardian of Elide after her parents were killed and the right hand man of the King of Adarlan. *Spoiler alert* We later learn that while Vernon is the king’s right hand man, the valg demon inside of him is actually in charge and controlling the King’s demon.
Vernon treats Elide terribly and having her escape his clutches is a definite good thing and I loved seeing Manon standing up to him and not just blindly following his orders, even when it got her in trouble with her grandmother.
Do you like today’s choice(s)? Who would you have chosen for this letter? Let me know in the comments.

I know nothing of this author or her books, so will have to read your past posts to learn more of her characters

Thank you!

While prepping my Young Adult Fiction post for Y, I learned that this series might actually be New Adult. I always thought it was YA.

ACOTAR reads like YA but it gets a bit smutty as the series goes on so probably that’s why it’s classed as NA.

Scary.
