I’m not into any sports – but secretly like to watch figure skating. Not Dancing on Ice, though, just the Winter Olympics.

I have tracker tiles attached to my reading glasses as I am forever searching for them. Now I just press the app on my phone and the tile on the glasses beeps so I can locate them. It looks ridiculous but it does the job…….unless I can’t find my phone to press the app!

I went on a whitewater kayak expedition to Nepal when I was 4 months pregnant 馃檪 (she’s 20 months now and I can’t wait to get her into adventure sports, she already climbs better than me!)

I love to travel and I have a huge map of the world stuck to a wall in my spare room with different colour smiley face stickers on places I’ve been and all the places I want to go to

I like to win prizes :- Nice. Some I have gifted, as a treat for family or friends. It is always nice to see others happy. A smile on their face spreads that happiness and joy.

I’m a Cambridge graduate, but stuck in a dead end job because most workplaces aren’t autism-friendly and the autism employment rate is shocking. So I’ve started a business on the side to make more money, but now all my friends are warning me that I’ll burn out if I keep doing 2 jobs. Given the effect the way I’m being treated at work is having on my mental health, that’s like being in the desert, seeing palm trees in the distance and having all your travelling companions grabbing at you and trying to stop you going towards the oasis, saying you’ll die of thirst before you get there – when the alternative is staying in the same place and dying of thirst.

I am a total bibliiophine with around a thousand books lying around the house – mostly in crates and stacks as I’m short of bookcases 馃榾

I taught myself cross-stitch from a book when I was 20 & have never looked back. I also taught myself to knit & can now do fairisle, aran & just boring stuff!

Apart from a tiny amount of part-time work I’m a stay-at-home mum who’s just started home-schooling and I actually love it!

I would love to learn to knit but I have zero patience. I bought the equipment and the cat has since ran off with the wool.

I lived in lots of different countries as a child because my father worked in development aid, building roads, hospitals, schools and other infrastructure. (not all by himself! he usually managed the projects rather than physically building anything.)
Unusual places I’ve been to: Sudan, Gabon, Cameroun, Nigeria, Senegal and Mauritania.

I got my first 6 pack at the age of 40. I’m 42 now and working on getting it back after the arrival of baby no. 3 last Christmas!
