I didn’t set an official target for how many books I wanted to read in 2019, but I usually aim for around fifty books, and last year, I read over sixty so I am happy with how many I got through. It’s just a shame that it seems that for every book I manage to read, I buy two more and my to be read list gets longer rather than shorter.

I just finished This is going to Hurt. I LOVED it so much! Laughed out loud a lot. Was it you that told me about the ‘Alice’ in Go ask Alice? Not a real diary or run away – an old religious lady….Ha! No it wasn’t me, I didn’t know. Been and had a look at the article and to be honest, it’s kind of nice to know it wasn’t real, although there are real life versions of Alice everywhere I guess.
Some good recommendations – must read some of these! If I ever manage to make time to read that is!! #anythinggoes

We definitely have very different taste in books though I did really like the Matched series!
I love a good dystopian series
So many great books on this list! I loved This is Going to Hurt and I have Hotel K on my bookshelf ready to read (it has been there for at least 5 years – whoops!). Given you rated The Rumor 10/10, I think I need to add that to my list #AnythingGoes

I loved This is going to Hurt. So funny. Can’t wait for the series. You know Go Ask Alice was written by this religious woman as a morality tale? I was stunned when I learnt that. She wrote a heap of them. I read it as a teen in the early 80’s
I have heard that about Go Ask Alice. The book doesn’t really feel like it’s written by a teenager, but I definitely think whoever wrote it has at the very least dabbled in drugs themselves.

Thats a pretty impressive list. I just finished The Institute by King not that long ago. I liked it a lot better than Revival, which was the one of his I had most recently read before it. I really need to find more time for reading and maybe set a goal for the year to help me do that #anythinggoes
