For this year’s A-Z Challenge, I have decided to do “An A-Z of Sarah J Maas characters”. The characters will be from the ACOTAR (A Court of Thorns and Roses) and ToG (Throne of Glass) series’ because when I first started researching this idea, I hadn’t read all of the CC (Crescent City) series.
Each day I will focus on one character from ACOTAR, TOG, or both, and I will share things such as an image of how I imagine them to look, what I like or dislike about the character, and how they affect the story.
I will try my best not to have any spoilers and if there are any, they will only be small ones – if I judge this differently to you then I apologise in advance.
Without further ado, let’s get to today’s post – Day Ten, J.
ToG – J is for Just Aedion
When we first meet Aedion, he is serving in the King of Adarlan’s army and he comes across as a bit of a dick, swaggering around and being arrogant. We learn he is Aelin’s cousin and when he finds out she is alive and heading up a rebellion, he joins up with them and soon shows his true self – loyal and brave and ready to do whatever it takes to see Aelin claim her rightful throne.
*Spoiler alert* Although I hated how Aedion treated Lysandra when he found out that she was going to impersonate Aelin and he hadn’t been consulted about this, I am so glad they ended up moving past that and getting together because they just fit right and Lysandra brought out the best in Aedion.
My favourite Aedion quote – “When she returns, what she will do the King of Adarlan will make the slaughtering ten years ago look merciful”.
Do you like today’s choice(s)? Who would you have chosen for this letter? Let me know in the comments.

Donna
There seems to be a lot of A names in this series. I find that confusing sometimes in books I’m reading.
Debbie, My Random Musings
Yes, there are a lot of A names for some reason
