For this year’s A-Z Challenge, I have decided to do “An A-Z of Sarah J Maas characters”. The characters will be from the ACOTAR (A Court of Thorns and Roses) and ToG (Throne of Glass) series’ because when I first started researching this idea, I hadn’t read all of the CC (Crescent City) series.
Each day I will focus on one character from ACOTAR, TOG, or both, and I will share things such as an image of how I imagine them to look, what I like or dislike about the character, and how they affect the story.
I will try my best not to have any spoilers and if there are any, they will only be small ones – if I judge this differently to you then I apologise in advance.
Without further ado, let’s get to today’s post – Day Twenty, T.
ACOTAR – T is for Tamlin
There will be spoilers here. At first, Tamlin seems ok, but then the books go on and a different side to him is revealed and you see he’s not the good guy he makes himself out to be. He treats Feyre appallingly even if she doesn’t see it at first. He basically puts her in a position where she murders someone so that he can try to play out an old prophecy. He then keeps her locked away in his mansion. In hindsight, that should say it all, but at first, he comes across as sweet and Feyre begins to fall for him.
Luckily Feyre sees through Tamlin before she goes ahead with her wedding to him and Rhys comes and saves her from the marriage. He causes trouble for Nesta and Elain and he isn’t nice to Lucien either. In short, he’s not the nicest character, but he does have a few redeeming moments.
ToG – T is for The King of Assassins
T isn’t a good letter for nice characters is seems. The King of Assassins, AKA Arobynn is awful to put it mildly. He forces Celaena into being an assassin by taking her in when she’s a child but than landing her with a massive debt and forcing her to pay it back before she can leave. When she gets the money and manages to become a free agent, *spoiler alert* Arobynn kills Sam to get his own back on her. He also sold a young Lysandra into prostitution and I was extremely happy when she got to take her revenge on him.
Do you like today’s choice(s)? Who would you have chosen for this letter? Let me know in the comments.

Hopefully, young adults reading this series will recognize the red flags in real life that it seems Tamlin has.
